“Superb movers caused ~$24,000 worth of damage during their move and refused to pay or assist. • I moved out of an apartment in Nov 2025 and witnessed Oscar of Superb movers hit the apartment’s loading pay garage door with their U-Haul truck. Luckily, I also snapped a picture at the time of the accident. The damage occurred because the door was not high enough for the truck to fit and Oscar of Superb movers didn’t double check the height of the door. Once he made contact with the door the just kept driving causing significant damage. • The apartment complex attempted to contact Repwest, the insurer of the U-Haul vehicle, but Superb movers lied and stated that I said the incident was the fault of the apartment complex. Because of this, the apartment complex failed to complete the insurance claim. • In March, I received notification from a collection agency that I owed ~$24,000 for damage to the apartment building caused by Superb • I called Latifa Brooks, the owner of Superb movers to verify their insurance. What the moving company did not tell me is that the insurance company did not insure the vehicle or transportation to and from the first residence to the second residence. Superb moving was not going to pay for this damage. • Superb movers stated that they hired contract workers for the day, and that the contract workers rented the U-Haul truck. When pressed, Superb refused to tell me who was working with me that day. They stated that ‘they forgot who they hired that day’. While going back through my phone logs I was able to find the phone number of the mover and did some research to find his name; Oscar. This makes me wonder wonder how Superb’s payroll and accounting looks if they can’t remember who they are hiring on a daily basis. • I received the video of the U-Haul truck rented by the movers hitting the garage door causing damage. With this evidence, I called U-Haul to submit an accident claim. I could only submit a claim on behalf of Oscar, the driver, if I had the plate number. Luckily, I witnessed the accident and got a picture of the plate since the video was not clear. • Repwest, the insurance company who insures U-Haul vehicles received the video from me, and took responsibility for the accident at the end of March. Superb did not submit an accident report because Oscar was the renter. Oscar did not submit a report with Repwest because he’s incompetent. Folks, remember if you hire a moving company, it is best if they own their own vehicles. If not, make sure they have vehicle insurance as well as standard business insurance. If they hire contract workers, make sure you get the information for the person who is responsible for the U-Haul and the plate for the vehicle which they rented.”

All three movers were so friendly, patient, and unbelievably efficient. They also wrapped up all our furniture before they carried it out to the truck, which was thoughtful. We were in awe of how perfectly Will fit everything into the truck, Tetris-style, and are so so grateful for all the stairs they all climbed to unload everything at our new place.
