Moving to Parsippany-Troy Hills: who to call and what the city asks.
Parsippany-Troy Hills Township is in Morris County, and residents must have septic systems licensed with the Township, renewed every three years. The Township runs a bus system for residents on weekdays, with routes starting on the hour at Morris Hills Shopping Center; the buses do not run on holidays or weekends.
Trash, bulk items and the Recycling Yard
The township Division of Recycling and Sanitation collects trash and recyclables for residents. The office phone is (973) 263-7273.
Before a move, the Township takes a few extra bags of garbage at curbside on the second pickup. Large items need a private hauler's container, and the Sanitation Department is not obligated to pick up the contents of a whole house at the curb.
The Township runs a Recycling Yard at 1 Pumphouse Rd. It is open Monday to Friday 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 1:45 PM.
The Water Department and the Road Division
The Township's Water Department supplies drinking water. Questions about a water or sewer bill go to the Utility Billing and Tax Collections Office.
The Road Division maintains township roadways, including snow plowing.
