Moving company reviews in Springfield

“This company treats all its clients like family. The owners are truly some of the best people in the world.”

“Great experience--all done over text! I needed to get a piece of furniture and other bits and pieces to a storage unit when a family member was moving and the heirlooms were passed on to me. But I live on the west coast and didn't have a lot of time to arrange logistics (or get there in person to take care of it myself). Jeremy to the rescue! We coordinated everything over text and the pickup from my relative's house and drop off at storage were seamless. ✅ Easy scheduling ✅ Reliable (Jeremy actively followed up with me on status) ✅ Friendly ✅ handled with care (my items were antiques and moved carefully!) ✅ very fair cost”

“Excellent experience with Father & Son Moving! They came out twice on short notice. Got my items moved carefully in a very efficient manner, including some very heavy items. Price charged was very reasonable for the amount of work needed to be done. The team was polite and respectful of my house and items. Highly recommend!”

“We shot a text late evening 2 days before July 4th holiday weekend explaining we needed to move stuff out of loved one’s apartment (quickly as she had passed away 😢) and Jeremy called us back within minutes. The VERY NEXT DAY his crew met us and moved everything for a very reasonably discounted price! They did ann outstanding job and were so careful with our furniture. I would highly recommend this company.”

“Amazing! The guys took good care of our items, got the work done quickly. We really appreciated how they came to our home (not in Springfield) and gave an in-person estimate the morning after we called them. They were able to book our move right away. Each of the gentlemen was polite and friendly. As a bonus, the code of the move was half the cost quoted by the franchise guys on the other side of town. You will not regret calling Father & Son!”

“Jeremy and his crew were awesome. Great to work with compared to Two men and a truck. I highly recommend Jeremy and his crew. I would use them again.”

“Jeremy and his crew are very dependable. Even though Jeremy got into a car accident (and totalled one of his trucks) the morning of my move, he immediately came to move me afterwards. Jeremy and his crew moved out all of my furniture and boxes quickly even though I live above 6 flights of stairs. My schedule for the move to Kansas was particular and Jeremy was happy to work with it. My move ended being a rather difficult move but Jeremy got it all done, with a significantly cheaper price than other companies. I had a very positive experience and would hire Father & Son Moving again for my future moves.”

“Jeremy came to my home to provide a written estimate before the job and there were no hidden costs after the move was completed. Father & Son Moving team arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They took care handling my furniture and were careful with the home’s interior. I would definitely use them again.”

“absolutely kind, efficient and wonderful people. The owner was moving in a lady on the first floor of the apartments that I live in. I'm a 71 yr young lady just diagnosed with heart issues. I had a very heavy dresser on the first floor that needed to be brought up. I'm all alone and lost if how I was going to get it up to the second floor. well without question, they brought it up blessings me with kindness. I'm hiring them in the near future to carry two more pieces up to me. their blessing turned into another job for them. God bless these men and please bless them also for hiring them to be your movers. thank you all for reading my review.”

“I moved in town last week and thankfully used Underfanger Moving They were fast, mefficient. It was a bargain and customer service was perfect. I’d give them more stars if I could. I’m thinking about maybe if they need someone to do a commercial for them, I’m the the guy.”

“We hired Underfanger Moving in Springfield, IL to help our company, Taxstra PLLC, consolidate our Springfield and Chatham offices into one new space—and they delivered exceptional service from start to finish. Over two brutally hot days (heat index over 100°), their team of 8 experienced movers—many with decades in the business—tackled five full moving trucks worth of furniture and extremely heavy file cabinets full of documents. They handled everything: navigating stairs and elevators, carefully protecting freshly painted walls, and even hauling away an entire truckload of old furniture to the dump. We worked directly with Tom and Karen, the owners, who were hands-on and professional. The crew was pedal to the metal the entire time, but never careless. Every item was handled with precision and care. Not a scratch. If you’re searching for a reliable, professional moving company in Springfield, Illinois, I can’t recommend Underfanger Moving enough. They made a complex commercial move feel easy—and that’s no small feat.”

“My sister hired Underfanger Moving & Storage to move her and her husband from their home of 50 years to their new residence. Karen was great from the beginning stages of planning through to the end. Making an extremely stressful process much easier to handle. The gentleman that showed up to move her on a hot August day this year were not only extremely professional but courteous and patient. I would highly recommend this company. Karen and Tom thank you. Please thank your staff as well. 😀😀”

“Had a great experience with them. Moved to a retirement community and everything went as smooth as silk. Truck arrived on time and was loaded by noon and everything unloaded and in place by 4pm. Great crew! Only complaint 😃is they didn’t unpack everything we brought and put it all away…that could take us weeks😜. 100% rating!”

“The movers were extremely professional. They loaded and unloaded or furniture with great care. Would recommend them Again. Clifton moving and storage is the best only because the employees make it the best.”

“Tom was very helpful, great family owned facility”

“I called last minute looking for labor in Springfield, IL to help unload a 26' moving truck at a storage unit. Tom was always responsive and kind with great attention to detail in spite of this being such a small job. The movers (Chris and ?) were both great and worked really hard. Would highly recommend to anyone and they will be my first call when I move back home.”

“Our company had a moving situation that seemed to change everyday and had to happen in an incredibly short time frame. Tom took the time for multiple phone conversations and worked with us through the chaos. The moving team was professional hardworking, and polite, and got everything done much faster than we expected - you can tell they've worked together for awhile. Will definitely be contacting again!”
