DC to NYC Movers

Andre, Jermaine, and Breon were great! They packed up our 2 bedroom apartment in less than 2 hours and moved us into our NY apartment in around the same time. Not a single item was broken.

I am so happy I found DC to NYC (District Movers), and that I chose to work with them for my recent move from DC to NY. Some of the standout reasons:<br>—Every time I called, I was immediately put through to a live person, and I always spoke with Bunni, who was incredibly responsive, friendly, competent, and no-nonsense. Her follow-up was speedy and reliable, and I found her really easy to work with and very assuring, which made a challenging move so much easier.<br>—Communication was excellent. Emails were immediately sent with complete information. I was given important and timely updates as to how and when things would be happening.<br>—The contents of my place would not, and did not, share a truck with anyone else’s, which is a common practice for movers to save money. Hence, there was none of that possible mixup stuff. Everything of mine was packed on one day, stored safely for a few hours, and then delivered the next day.<br>—The actual movers were amazing. Anthony was at the helm, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better person to oversee it all. What an amazing guy—warm and friendly, super positive, energetic, hardworking, a great leader, and sharp as all get up. I don’t know how he did it (because, frankly, I really wasn’t well prepared 😏), but he really made it happen. At pick up, he was assisted by José, who worked harder and moved larger loads than imaginable, and by Chris, who ultimately got everything fitted carefully into the truck like a zen puzzle master. The three of them worked so well together and pulled off a most impressive feat. It should be said that my estimated 25 boxes ended up turning into near 80!!! So, they had their hands full. On the New York end, Anthony drove up with Andre in the wee hours of the morning to arrive exactly when he said they would, at 7am. They offloaded everything quickly, carefully (taking the time to check where I wanted things put), and with respect for the other building tenants. I was just sad to see them go.<br><br>Truly a wonderful and super professional experience from beginning to end. I’ve already got another customer signed up with them in two months.

A big thank you to Dre, Anthony, Don, Chris, and Bunni, who made moving from DC to New York fast and super easy. Everything, including my flat screen tv, artwork, and more fragile items was properly packed. The communication was streamlined, and the price was very competitive with other service providers in the DC area. Rather than break up the delivery (like other companies do), everything was stored overnight on one truck so that I had enough time to get to New York ahead of the team. I plan on recommending this company to my friends for their DC to New York moves.

The only people you should be hiring in the DMV area! So efficient and easy. Never hired movers for a long distance move until now and it could not have been more seamless during an already stressful time. They are FAST, so be ready by the time they arrive. Thank you Anthony and Dre!

Great experience with Anthony & Dre. Their “Hakuna Matata” energy is a blessing during a time that’s very stressful. Without prompting, they knew to arrange things to save space. When I realized I preferred a few boxes in another room, they didn’t even flinch and asked if there was anything else I needed before they left. I highly recommend this company/team!

We had an amazing experience with these movers! My Niece is moving from DC to NYC and sent her belongings ahead. Anthony and Dre were incredibly quick, efficient, and professional from start to finish. What impressed me the most (mind you, without being told anything) was how quiet and respectful they were while working — my Grandson was sleeping and not once did he budge.<br><br>Everything was handled with care, the move was smooth and stress-free, and they made what could have been a hectic move feel so easy.
