The Gentle Giant Moving Company did an EXCELLENT Job with our 2 stage in-house move!!! Arriving on time--Dex, Carlos, Antonio and Dakarai, professionally in a very nice and helpful manner moved our furniture from room-to-room as we requested. My husband and I were very satisfied with their care and respect for our home and furniture. We had used their services before and we will use their services again. ★★★★★ Outstanding Experience with Gentle Giant<br><br>I cannot say enough good things about Gentle Giant and the crew that handled my move.<br><br>I called on very short notice because I needed to move urgently due to a significant pest issue in my building that was not going to be resolved quickly. From my very first interaction with Dominic, who coordinated and scheduled everything, the experience was professional, responsive, and reassuring.<br><br>On moving day, Paul, Erick, Mohamed, and Octavian arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and immediately impressed me with their professionalism, communication, and teamwork. At both my old apartment and my new apartment, they took the time to walk the space first, ask questions, understand the layout, and confirm the plan before getting started.<br><br>This was a full-service move, and they packed my apartment from scratch. They took exceptional care with my belongings, thoughtfully wrapping and protecting everything. It was obvious they genuinely cared about doing the job right, not just getting it done quickly. Throughout the day, communication was excellent—not only with me, but with one another. You could tell this was a team that works well together and takes pride in what they do.<br><br>The move took approximately 12 hours from start to finish. After packing my apartment, transporting everything, and unloading at my new building, they carefully placed items where they belonged and checked in whenever they needed clarification. They worked incredibly hard all day while remaining professional, positive, and organized.<br><br>One thing I especially appreciated was the transparency. The final cost came in within the upper end of the estimate range I had been given, so there were no surprises. At the end of the move, Paul took the time to walk me through the final bill line by line, explain the charges, and answer my questions. I appreciated the clarity and professionalism.<br><br>I was also impressed by how prepared the team was. I forgot to tell them not to pack a few things I needed immediate access to, including pet supplies and medications. Even after everything had been packed, they knew exactly where those items were and quickly located the correct box so I could retrieve them.<br><br>For anyone planning a move, a few tips:<br><br>* Send your detailed inventory list as early as possible when scheduling.<br>* Be very clear about anything you do not want packed.<br>* Make sure you identify safe and convenient parking locations for loading and unloading.<br>* If you’re moving into or out of an apartment building, reserve your loading dock and freight elevator ahead of time.<br>* And if you can, tip these guys well—they absolutely earn it.<br><br>Moving is rarely fun, but this team made it as painless as possible. I would hire Gentle Giant again in a heartbeat—although I sincerely hope I’m not moving again anytime soon.<br><br>A huge thank you to Dominic, Paul, Erick, Mohamed, and Octavian for their professionalism, care, communication, and hard work. Entire crew was excellent!!! Hustled and took excellent care of my stuff!! A delight to use Gentle Giant a second time! I highly recommend them and I have moved about 40 times in my life (best move of them all)!
