Utility Billing Department at 103 N Hewitt Dr

Water, wastewater and garbage service are all signed up for at the Utility Billing Department, which sits in the Community Services Building at 103 N Hewitt Dr. People who sign up for new water service are given a new resident packet.

Services are connected Monday through Friday only, between 1 pm and 4 pm on the date requested. Same-day connection requires the water service application to be submitted and payment made before 11 am. Someone must be at the service address when service is activated.

A request to disconnect water service when moving can be submitted online on the Utility Billing page, or by a form dropped off at the Community Services Building. Existing water customers can transfer service to another address in the city, either online or by an emailed form.

Additional trash or recycling carts are requested through the Utility Department at (254) 666-3151.

Large items needing curbside pickup are arranged by calling Republic Services at 1-800-860-0123, ext. 23008.

For large amounts of brush, or large items like tree stumps and old chairs, a drop-off is held on the third Saturday of every month at 1301 S. Hewitt Drive. It runs from 8 AM until 12 Noon. Brush day drop-off requires a current Hewitt water bill and a current driver license with the current address.
