Residential burning of yard waste is allowed only during a burn season that runs from November 1st to May 15th each year, with permits handled through Pahrump Valley Fire & Rescue. A recreational vehicle in a residential zoning district may be used as a temporary seasonal use for a maximum of 120 calendar days per calendar year without a temporary use permit.

Pahrump Valley Disposal offers curbside garbage collection in the unincorporated area of Pahrump, with a 96 gallon cart supplied by the company, weekly collection and quarterly billing. New residential customers call (775) 727-5777 or visit the office at 1410 E. Mesquite Avenue to start service; an advance payment, a photo ID and a New Customer Information Form are required.

Garbage carts go at the curb or road edge by 6:00 a.m. on the collection day.
