Big Boys Moving & Storage of Tampa Bay

I’m going to keep this short and not so sweet. We had several issues with the move from Big Boys Moving. First and foremost, there was several additional fees upon making the booking. To include an automatic gratuity that we had to agree to prior to the move actually happening and an additional fee for them driving the truck back to its location. This resulted in an approximately an extra $1000 more than what we were quoted. When it comes to the actual move itself, we had several items damaged. To include a brand new dryer that is now unusable, a priceless antique from a relative who has passed and other small miscellaneous things highlighting the lack of attention to detail and carelessness of the movers when handling our items. They also damaged the tile floor to our new home by scraping the couch across the floor while moving it in, that was also damaged by them. Moving on to the administrative side of things, our move was several weeks ago and we brought all of these things to the attention of the company immediately providing physical evidence only to hear nothing back after the initial conversations with them after the dispute. Even after attempting to follow up we got no response. No resolution has been made at this time.

Chris and steve was 10/10 amazing comuncated and was very friendly will 100% recommend to friends and family. I recommend chris and steve for all moves¡¡¡

If I could give less I would. This company quoted one thing to me and then more than doubled the price on the day of moving/storage. The person on the phone played all honest and poo poo'd other moving co's for hiding fees and charges. Then they took advantage of my client who they knew had english as a second language. They sent the last document to sign only to him instead of having me review it first like I had everything else. I have text messages and communications showing either the estimate was WAY OFF (which is another problem in itself) or they took advantage of me/my client by almost tripling the original quote once they had all of the furnishings in their storage units. Do not recommend!

I was quoted for 3 hours for a total of $665 to move from my 1 bedroom apartment in South Tampa to another 1 bedroom apartment in St Pete (distance 25 minutes). I purposely moved probably 2/3 of my stuff on my own in hopes that I wouldn’t go over the 3 hours. The movers themselves did an amazing job and were very friendly, but took 6 hours for my things that didn’t even take up half their truck (to which they admitted). The only furniture they had to move was 1 couch, 1 chair, coffee table, a small cabinet, a small desk and some boxes. They didn’t have to assemble a single thing. In the end I ended up being charged close to $1200 due to one of the hours being counted for their drive home which doesn’t make any sense. I think this is a ridiculous amount to charge for a small job and I would not use this company again.

Chris and Eli were patient with my kids running around lol. Good crew.
