Moving is hands-down my most hated task. I’ve moved state-to-state and locally, and I have always had horrific experiences—from companies showing up hours late and missing crew members, to lost boxes and moves dragging on for 9+ hours for a simple one-bedroom. Needless to say, I always dread moving day.<br><br>When planning this move, I did a deep dive on Reddit and Google reviews to find the local favorites, and Dallas Area Movers came out on top. Right from the start, Colin, who did my initial consultation, was incredibly friendly and honest. He gave me a transparent walkthrough of what to expect, and their pricing ended up being very reasonable compared to the other highly recommended moving companies I researched.<br><br>My movers were Jordan and Chuck, and they were phenomenal (and super friendly). They were incredibly prompt, arriving a full 10 minutes before our scheduled time. I have a lot of things for a 1-bedroom apartment—closer to a 2-bedroom volume—including 50 medium/large plastic totes, about 10+ medium-to-large pieces of furniture, and LOTS of miscellaneous items. On top of that, my old building had a massive walking distance from the unit to the service elevator (a solid 5-minute fast-paced walk) with lots of tricky corners. My apartment is incredibly strict and conducts mandatory pre- and post-move hallway inspections for their wallpapers and carpeted floors. Jordan and Chuck navigated the building perfectly, and not a single scratch was left in the hallways.<br><br>Just because I am very neatpicky and detail-oriented, I'll note that there were a couple of very, very minor chips on the corners of my dining table, though it was nothing a little wood oil/polish couldn't easily fix. Aside from that, their handling of my delicate items was flawless. Every single tote with glassware and ceramics and piece of furniture marked with a "fragile" sticker came back absolutely pristine, and all of my electronics arrived with zero damage.<br><br>The entire move lasted from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, which included about an hour lunch break for the guys. They finished much earlier than expected, which is a miracle compared to my past experiences.<br><br>For the first time ever, I felt entirely stress-free during a move. From Colin’s honest quote to Jordan and Chuck’s hard work, you truly get fantastic value for your money. I will absolutely be using Dallas Area Movers for my next move. Request Jordan and Chuck if you can!<br><br>UPDATE:<br>To further prove how much integrity this company has: they actually contacted me after the move on the same day to let me know there was a slight miscalculation in the final bill and issued me a refund for the extra charge. The fact that they were proactive and honest enough to point out an overcharge and fix it on their own accord is practically unheard of in the moving industry. Absolute 5-star service from start to finish!

Dallas Area Movers was so great to work with!! Really nice rates and very responsive. Our crew (Q and Esteban) were right on time and so quick and careful with our belongings. We were so impressed with their efficiency considering all the heavy furniture they moved through multiple narrow stairwells. Would absolutely recommend and use again!

Esteban and Charles did an amazing job helping with my move. They were punctual, polite and efficient. They had some issues putting together my daughter’s loft bed, and I’m grateful to the owner Colin for personally coming over with help to finish the job. We used them a week later for my fiancé’s move and they did an equally fantastic job. Highly recommend and would use again.
