Terrible company. Bait and switched over to Big Boys Moving & Storage Company, who have awful reviews. Confirmed the price repeatedly with the owner, Ruby Atkinson. Made sure they wouldn’t charge me beyond what she quoted me on the phone. She swore they wouldn’t. The movers arrived almost an hour early, so we weren’t entirely prepared. They wouldn’t come back and said the clock starts immediately. And if you can believe it, the price was not what she quoted me. I was quoted just under $400 and it ended up being $700 for the exact same service. We were leaving the next morning, so we were stuck, and it’s obvious that companies like this prey on that time constraint. Look elsewhere, this isn’t your best option.

The time set forth in the reservation initial paperwork I agreed on was acceptable. I signed it. Next conversation was request for deposit. I gave my credit card. Then I received a document to sign with a completely different timeframe (early in the morning of the same day). I had discussed with Ruby that the home owner where the piano was being picked up could not agree to the early morning time. I explained this on our discussion at onset of our time frame negotiations. Yet, Ruby ultimately sent me the document to sign with the 8-11 timeframe, despite our previous discussion. I phoned Ruby to again tell her I could not agree to the 8-11 time; that she had previously sent paperwork showing 3-5 as timeframe, Our last phone call was not what I was expecting. I received an education on how business works. I accept that a prospective earlier reservation had cancelled, but to arbitrarily move my time to the early morning without calling me first and asking me to accept it after I had already declined it, was unacceptable. Ruby told me she was trying to find another client to take the morning and she would then put me back to 3-5. I told her that I would be reviewing on Google (as is my usual) and she accused me of threatening her. I advised her I no longer needed her company’s services.

Hi Judy, I truly enjoy helping clients when they’re in need, and I always do my best to offer discounted rates when possible. As I explained, I had a cancellation, which changed the whole schedule on me to fit you in. I originally scheduled you for the afternoon, but after the cancellation i had to build a crew so that we could move you in the afternoon, while still honoring the discounted rate. The only way I can make that work is when we coordinate alongside another job in the area otherwise, the date would need to be adjusted. I understand schedules can be challenging, and I do my best to be flexible for clients while also needing flexibility in return. It’s never my intention to cause stress or frustration. I was a little disheartened when you mentioned leaving a negative review, as my goal is always to help and provide the best service possible. Reckless. Broke my $2,000 tv because they didn’t box it even though I paid for that, they said they didn’t realize it was a tv…they also had ankle monitors…..
