Moving company reviews in New York

“The team at Jordan River East was amazing - never felt like anything shady was going on, which is not the case with most other moving companies. Their movers are their own, not contracted out as a third party vendor, so you can trust them. Austin even came to my apartment for an assessment of my items to make sure I would be charged accurately. The team was punctual, efficient, and professional. Would highly recommend!”

“Jordan River is top notch! They came within the expected time window and were thorough, efficient and also very personable. I had a lot of art work and they meticulously packed it like they were packing the Mona Lisa. The move flowed like a well oiled machine. I am moving long distance and I can't tell you how easy it was to get on the "road" with them. I highly recommend them, they are a great remedy for moving stress.”

“Pleasure to work with, and very hard working!”

“Had to move some of my stuff in a storage unit to my new apartment and Movage was able to handle that in a tight schedule that I was in. Greatly appreciated guys! Very professional and prompt service, highly recommended!”

“Absolutely first-class service; Montia and their team did flawless and professional work managing my move. For future moves in the area, I will absolutely stick with their firm -- thank you!”

“Fast, friendly , and honest!”

“Honest reliable and on time”

“Professional, on time and great to work with. Have worked with on 3 different occasions and they always get the job done”

“From the the first phone call to the end of our move and everything in between, ever part of the UMC operation was fair, honest, and knowledgeable. They were totally professional; they really know what they are doing!! We called UMC in a panic, our mover cancelled the morning of our schedule move. Bill got on the phone with us, he calmed us down, and assured us we would be taken care of. He gave us a fair competitive quote and working within our difficult schedule (moving from one office to another in Manhattan). The UMC crew got to the office before we did! They were efficient, courteous, and flexible. The finished about 2 hours ahead of our schedule!! I have never written a review for any company, but UMC stands out!! If you are going to move; they are the company to hire. And a special thank you to Patty, who runs the office!!! Jay Gelman CEO Alliance Games”

“I had an extremely positive experience with this company. The owner is extremely professional and courteous and his rates are very reasonable. He was on time and his team did an excellent job! If I ever move again I am using CV. Very trustworthy and reliable!”

“I would like to thank Jordan River East Moving company for first being very professional and secondly, for being understanding. I had a dilemma on the day that the move was scheduled. Jordan River East Moving company came up with a solution right away. No fuss! Excellent customer service and truly a class act company. Thanks so much to the young lady who answered the phone. She was very polite. Thanks to Austin for everything. I truly appreciate it! Thanks to
the movers, Mike and associate, for being respectful and swift. This whole experience gave me a peace of mind during a very stressful situation. Thank you so much once again! BTW cost of the move was also a huge plus. I would definitely recommend this company!”

“This was just great! Came on time, finished way quicker than I thought, zero damages, super professional! Defiantly will use them again!”

“Pequeño y acojedor”

“Great service and sturdy reusable boxes made our move that much easier. Thanks!”

“Great experience with Hamptons Pro Moving! On time & reliable with a great team of movers. Had a big job with hundreds of items (including heavy tables weighing around 2 tons) and was able to move everything in a timely manner. Highly recommend!”

“Moving a company is hard but UMC made it bearable. Right from the start the process was smooth. Quick and courteous service from the office staff; they were there to assist you at any time. Move day was smooth too. The trucks rolled up and carts rolled onto them and off they went to the new location. The actual move was completed in just a few hours. Thank you UMC!”

“Thank you Jordan River for making a hassle look like a breeze. The team was fantastic, they protected all the furnitures with care and managed to sprint at the end of the day before the building’s curfew. I couldn’t hope for better to be honest. Highly recommended !”

“I can't recommend Jordan River East Moving enough! I've read so many mixed reviews here, but I just wanted to let you know how incredible this service was.

Carlos and Dennis saw me having a bad morning (nothing worked out as planned on my end), and they kept reminding me that everything is fine, that they wanted this process to be as stressful-free as possible. All these boxes (134 of them) have so much value to me, and moving across de ocean to a new place it's so draining mentally and emotionally.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Please give Carlos and Dennis a raise, they totally deserve it. I've moved from Chile to Germany, from Germany to the UK and from the UK to the States and I've never seen such a professional, hard working and friendly team

Thank you so so much, I'll forever recommend Jordan River to everyone I know.”

“Great business”

“Professional, personable and efficient”

“Just today @7:30am I was crossing at 47th St. & 9th Ave and truck #512 almost hit me. This company needs to re-evaluate its drivers before they hurt someone. Its a shame because the company itself might be ok.”

“I used River Jordan East on a recent local move. Had lots of delicate ceramics and molds and they offered for a very reasonably fee to help actually pack up the goods with proper boxes and supplies. Above and beyond. Very friendly, prompt and reliable...not adjectives usually used for a moving company! 👏👏👏 Couldn’t recommend more.”

“I moved within Brooklyn and used Jordan River East Moving. They were the best moving company! Everything arrived in one piece. They were on time and the movers were very nice. They were professional and courteous. Their price estimate was very affordable and their bill was exactly what they estimated. The flat rate pricing was nice and there was no unexpected bills. If you're moving in Brooklyn I highly recommend them!”

“Such a great team! They were on time, gracious and handled everything immaculately. Everything arrived in the new location in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend Jordan River to anyone looking for a stress free, successful and fair-priced move- The three hardest things to find in an NYC mover!”

“This company has been nothing but exceptional and professional. I have used them to move myself and clients and continue to recommend them.”

“I had used Jordan River before for my parents move and was extremely happy. When I needed to do a local move of my business I used them again and was equally as happy. I had to move my medical office in Manhattan when I changed buildings. it was a large commercial move and I was nervous about how it would affect my medical practice. I'm happy to report that the move went super smooth and perfect. The movers showed up on time. They packed everything in the office and moved all of the medical equipment and office stuff without damaging or losing anything. I could not be happier and would recommend this mover for any doctor moving their medical practice in NYC, including a large group medical practice, like mine. Thanks!”

“We used Heirloom Moving on the recommendation of a relative who plans moves for clients and is familiar with many NYC moving companies. Our experience was fantastic. We had a typically small NYC apartment going to California and our budget was tight. Finin, the owner, was a joy to deal with. He was very flexible and answered the many questions of two obsessive journalists. He worked with us to keep the cost affordable and took care of extras, like an outdoor shed, with aplomb. The service (packing, loading etc) was excellent. I'd recommend this company to anyone who wants a successful, hassle-free move.”

“Fast service and friendly”

“Great business good people”

“Great service”

“Thank you! Saved us a lot of time and stress. We had been worried about damages from horror stories you hear. But Jason and his crew had been absolutely wonderful”

“They moved my mom last year, I kept forgetting to leave the feedback and I saw a truck and it reminded me to so here goes. Inexpensive, fast, honest. What more can be said. -ASB”

“Very professional and reliable I highly recommend this company .”

“The best moving experience I’ve ever had in NYC! Was on time, on budget and moved everything without issue. Very knowledgeable and personable, I highly recommend CV Moving to anyone who wants an honest, reliable mover in NYC area.”

“Chase and his team have moved us twice. Both times the moves were very complicated (multiple locations, household with lots of stuff in addition to an art studio). From beginning to end, the whole team was professional, punctual, meticulous, fixed our inept packing mistakes, and gracious. And on budget. As a bonus, every person on the team was really friendly and genuinely cool. There was a real sense of trust and camaraderie. I'd never use another moving company.”

“Great service, got my things from Point A to Point B in a timely manner. Definitely recommend them.”

“Great hard working young men!! They made me feel so at ease with all my delicate things . We just moved from Westhampton to Remsunburg and they did a fabulous job in great timing!”

“Great customer service and delivery and efficiency! Couldn't have had a better Move”

“This was simple and easy. It really only took one phone call and the rest was all done!”

“Wonderful experience! The whole crew was friendly, efficient and very professional. I was able to get my baby grand moved from NJ to Manhattan for a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend Active Moving Inc.!”

“UMC did a superb job from planning to moving our office across Manhattan from/to a Class A Building. UMC's staff are professional, courteous, organized, responsive, experienced, and adept at handling any challenge. They offer superior logistical support and customer service. The move was cost-efficient and time-efficient, juggling various freight elevator constraints, instant unpacking of files and large items, and removal of boxes within a few days. Questions were answered immediately and everything was delivered in perfect condition. I am impressed with the care and professionalism of each member of the UMC Team. I highly recommend UMC!”

“I had a very good experience with Frank's Movers. I booked my move the day before. They were very accommodating. Aziz and Ali were the men who showed up with a truck. I ordered a van; they didn't charge me extra. They moved a small office out of one building into another space across town in under 3 hours. They were very nice and careful. Nothing was damaged or broken. I highly recommend them.”

“UMC Moving relocated my office last week and they were awesome! They were a pleasure to deal with. The staff was professional, courteous, and very careful with all our stuff. I would recommend UMC Moving to all looking to move.”

“My GF & I used Manor moving and got a VIP service, thank you all for your hard work and making my moving day into a fun day. If I will ever move (LOL) I will defiantly call Zvi and have his guys come.”

“I would like to thank everyone at Senior Movers for your great senior moving services helping my aging parents to move into their new senior living development. The move was smooth and easy and not nearly as stressful as it could have been. My parents are very happy in their new home. I will recommend your senior relocation services to others.”

“I've been looking for piano movers for a while and could not find anyone that was able to move my old large piano to my new house. I found these guys online, they stopped by looked at it and my piano was moved the same day nice and smooth for a very reasonable price. Yes it took a lot of work but they were willing to do it, just wanted to say thank you.”

“these guys r the best. I mean their price is really affordable. they ask u about your belongings when getting a quote. once they arrive on moving day, they don't make a big deal about a few items extra like other moving companies. they are highly efficient and speedy. AAA rating.”

“Very simple transaction. Very professional protocal. I received an immediate quote over the phone and was able to reserve a date during the same conversation. I received various confirmation and follow up emails and calls in the weeks leading up to the move. The morning of, the team showed up on time, explained their process and then proceeded to take on the job. Anytime there was an issue, it was communicated between the foreman and i, the foreman and the main office and again between the main office and i. The movers were in good spirits and didnt let my nasty neighbors ruin their morning (they were complaining about the elevator being used, of course). The truck experienced an engine issue mid trip but the company compensated me with a discount of 2 hours! All in all, none of my furniture experienced any damage, the job was done in 6 hours total and the foreman kept everything simple and transparent. Very well executed.”

“Great product, extremely flexible with pick up and delivery scheduling, very competitive pricing. I've used them two times for moves, and it's been well worth it.”

“Great experience from start to finish. Their great communication made them very easy to work with. The actual bins worked out prefect for us, and made everything so easy. this is a great option for people moving in NYC.”

“FRANK'S EXPRESS MOVING ARE great guys!!!! really good prices, best customer service!!!! No damages to my property, everything was handled with care. Moved ny girlfriend from NJ to NY with out any problems and headache. really friendly stuff. Thank you guys!!!”

“I moved from Astoria to Upper East Side a month ago and used EZ Bins! Great concept and company. The bins were sturdy, easy to pack (no tape...what what!), and came with a dolly to move stuff around. Also, I didn't need to breakdown any boxes when I was done, so I was unpacked and ready to get the bins picked up right away. I dealt mostly with the Danielle over the phone and she was nice and the delivery/pickup guys were extremely pleasant (especially for a Saturday morning at 8am). I will use EZ Bins again for my next move and have recommended their service to a bunch of my friends already. I am never using cardboard boxes again.”

“I've moved 10 times in the last 12 years. EZ-Bins made this last move the SIMPLEST and EASIEST move. Instead of having to buy expensive boxes (can be lots of $$) that you just have to build then break down, ez-bins come straight to your door. They are durable and your possesions won't get smooshed or broken. They are: - Efficent - CLEAN - AFFORDABLE - EASY Great service, super easy, and hey you saved a few trees... What can be better than that??”

“The service was excellent, the pricing more than competitive, and the timeliness of delivery and pickup top notch and highly flexible. I couldn't rpossibly ecomend this service more. Beats using cardboard boxes by a country mile.”

“Really great and amazing service!! Very courteous, professional and FAST! Communication, delivery and pick up all went smooth. The bins themselves were super durable, clean and helped the moving process a ton. I recommend EZ bins to everyone who I know is moving and I'll definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Awesome job! I thought for sure that my price was going to go up because everyoe warned me that it might happen and it never did. I paid what they said I was going to pay. I was really impressed with how the movers handled themselves. They worked hard and if they had any questions they asked instead of just assuming. I really appreciated their services!!”

“These guys were awesome. Moved my entire apartment from NYC to NJ without any issues. The sales rep was super professional and answered any and all my questions, even the ones that seemed a little ridiculous. I only gave them 4 stars because the price was a little more than most companies, but now a days, you get what you pay for and it was worth the extra cash for the peace of mind. I'm using them again next year when I move to California.”

“A+++++ Company. Our move was a super smooth transition! Thank you to all the office staff who work beautifully together and the movers who move your items as if they belonged to them!”
