Overall I am pretty happy with my service. The movers were kind, patient, professional and extremely courteous. The estimator on the other hand was the opposite. When I met with him he was inpatient and not friendly but I threw it to the wind. They are contracted with Mayflower and I thought it was just an overall tough guy attitude. However, he told me it was going to be two containers and I insisted it was only one, in the end my belongings did not even take up the space of one. And I kept telling him I had some very expensive items I was moving and I needed help understanding the insurance. I ended up paying approx $50 extra to double my insurance, which seems like nothing and definitely worth it but he didn’t explain it fully and the movers were not told of this and didn’t ask. So they ended up packing away items that they were supposed to delineate as high value. The office, who I had never spoken to prior to that day, assured me this was going to be ok but I guess I won’t know until the other end. I’ll update this as needed.<br><br>Yes, I would recommend this company but really make sure you understand everything. It’s confusing when you hire Mayflower, you expect Mayflower, not a smaller local company. Again, the movers were great, no complaints there!
