Response from A-1 Piano & Organ Movers Inc
We take concerns about our team seriously, which is why we attempted to speak with you directly about this situation. However, we do want to clarify that you were not a customer of A-1 Piano Movers and did not hire our company for any services. Unfortunately, when we attempted to discuss your concerns with you by phone, the conversation became extremely disrespectful, and we were unable to have a productive discussion about what occurred. We did, however, take your allegations seriously and looked into the situation. Our trucks are equipped with speed-tracking technology as well as cameras, and after reviewing the information available to us, we were unable to find anything that matched the events as you described them. We also noticed that your recent review history includes multiple one-star reviews of small, locally owned businesses within the past month. While everyone is certainly entitled to share their experiences, we believe that context is relevant when a review is being left by someone who was not actually a customer of our business. We have been a family-owned company since 1955 and take both our reputation and the conduct of our employees seriously. We are always willing to address legitimate concerns professionally and respectfully.

Steve and his team were very friendly and accomodating and the cost was quite reasonable. We needed to have my mother's 70 year old Steinway moved from Northern California to Indianapolis and they worked with us for a timely pickup and then stored the piano for us until our new home in Indy could accomodate it. The loading and unloading teams were extremely professional and courteous and handled our piano with superb attention. After 3 moves I hope my mom's piano won't need another mve but I know who to call if it does!
Response from A-1 Piano & Organ Movers Inc
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the service you received. We appreciate you letting us handle the cross country move of your mother's prized Steinway Grand Piano. We wish you and your family many years of enjoyment from the piano!

The movers at A1 were highly professional, courteous, and respectful. Jess, in the home office, communicated a 3 hour time window to me the day before. On the delivery day, Isaac called to let me know when they were on their way. I was very impressed by their communication and punctuality, as they arrived earlier in the time window, allowing me extra time to enjoy and play. Being a piano technician, I absolutely appreciate the care and expertise used as they handled the move of both of my pianos (6’1” Baldwin Grand & Upright Wurlitzer). These are both delicate instruments and A1 successfully moved both with ease and without damage into their new locations in my home. I was also thrilled to see Greg, as he helped deliver a different grand piano to my mom’s house when I was still in High School. Overall the moving process took less than an hour due to the efficiency and well-executed plan from the movers. They confirmed both piano locations and ensured all parts were secure and working properly before leaving. Jess even followed up the next day to confirm everything was up to my standards, further illustrating their incredible commitment to customer service. I will absolutely be using A1 again for all of my piano moving needs as well as referring them to all of my clients. 10 out of 10 recommend!
Response from A-1 Piano & Organ Movers Inc
Wow—thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review! Coming from a piano technician, your comments about the care and expertise of our crew mean a great deal to us. We also love hearing that Greg was part of a piano delivery to your family all the way back when you were in high school. Those kinds of connections are incredibly special to us and one of our favorite parts of being a family-owned business that has been moving pianos for generations. From me personally, it was an absolute pleasure working with you and making sure everything went smoothly from scheduling through the final follow-up. Thank you for trusting us with both the Baldwin Grand and Wurlitzer, and especially for being willing to recommend A-1 to your own clients. That is one of the highest compliments we could receive. We look forward to working with you again!
