Gate City<br><br>Gate City is a family business in all the best ways.<br>Matt , Terri , Calvin and their crew are professional, courteous and thoughtful. They navigate with an amazing team effort that comprehensively handles the logistics of a complex move.<br>Gate City is my only choice and has been for decades.<br>Gate City was there when I moved out of my first restaurant probably 50 years ago. Five years later, they moved me into my second restaurant, Highlands Garden Café.<br>They moved my mom from her home on 7th avenue to join Chuck and I in our home on West 32nd .<br>Forty years later , when we sold our real estate on West 32nd ,they moved us again!<br>This move is a great example of the service they provide.<br>We had a restaurant full of equiptment. Chuck’s has a fully staffed office on the second floor of the café .Our home was adjacent to the café, a two story residence and garage. Then there my 96 year old my mother’s small house across the alley as well as another small house we used for storge and a storge unit.<br>The equipment from the café went to 4 storage units out on 1/70 near Aurora.<br>Chucks office went to Highlands Garden Village on West 38th.<br>They moved my mother , Chuck and I and our three dogs to an apartment with a garage and a storage unit.<br>Every element of this move was delivered on time and on budget.<br>In 2014, we purchased our new home. Gate City helped us collect all of our stuff from the various locations we had stored it in and brought it here .<br>Just this year, we finally renovated our home but to do so, we had to move everything out of the first floor . It was Gate City to the rescue again!<br>But this is the important part. When they moved us back in, there were members of the crew that had moved us out of 32nd in 2013.<br>In addition to their usual exemplary service two things about this move stand out.<br>Matt offered to hang a large piece of stained glass that had hung in a stairway on 32nd .When Matt and his crew had moved us from W 32 nd in 2013,, they taken it down , packed it in a wooden case custom built for it by his brother Joe Monley.<br>Here we now are in 2021, At first, it was unclear how to hang it . Then Matt said “ask Robert. He was on the move from 32nd” (2013 ),<br>This Gate City crew had carefully packed and transported this piece of glass Moved it twice and when it finally came time to hang it permanently, one of the crew who had been there remembered the hardware was in the case Found it and the glass hangs in our home today.<br>Another story was from this same move: We have a huge bookcase that had sat on top of a 3’6’ base. We decided to install the two pieces separately When Gate City brought the pieces in, it became clear that the doors of the bookcase would not open when seated directly on the floor So , the crew put their heads together .Made shims from lumber we had in the garage and slipped them under the doors. The bookcase now is perfect.<br>Last and not least: We have an extensive collection of family paintings. Matt and Calvin came back to help us hang all the pictures. Their work is gallery quality . Not only is the placement perfect but they helped me to arrange which pictures to hang together. Just an incredible experience !<br>I hope these stories serve to illustrate how, a company that provides this level of service to their customers and their staff , stands out and maintains relationships over time .<br>There are so many more stories that I could tell but I hope the point is clear<br>Gate City is an exceptional , one of a kind organization and as such is an asset to the community.<br>I am so grateful for the times Gate City has come to my rescue !

Gate City Moving is my first and only call when I have needed to move in the Denver area. They are accommodating, conscientious, and very careful. They have moved me several times, they moved my husband's office, and recently they helped us with a move for a home remodel. Their pricing is very fair, they show up when they say they will, and after packing over 70 boxes for storage during our remodel not a single thing was chipped or broken. They are the best!

I moved to Colorado in the early 1980's--by now Gate City has moved me 5 times! These are friendly, capable, professional, and conscientious movers, very much a well coordinated team. They are always especially careful with my precious pieces, and absolutely a joy to work with--we chatted, joked, and they executed a professionally coordinated and smooth move every time. These guys were great! I hate moving, and alongside moving quickly and efficiently, their attitudes and professionalism made the experience more positive than I thought it would be. They went above and beyond to be sure all furniture was put back together, and even helped with some of my electronics that I didn't know how to set back up. Thanks gate city moving!
