Moving to Bethpage: who to call and what the city asks.

Bethpage is a hamlet and census-designated place within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island. Bethpage Water District was formed in May 1923 as the Central Park Water District.

Parking fields, street sweeping and snow

Municipal parking fields are for use only by town residents, who must obtain a sticker from the Town Clerk office. Street sweeping runs from the beginning of April through the end of October, with a schedule and map sent to every homeowner.

Highway Operations handles snow, ice and flood control on the roads under Town jurisdiction.

Garbage containers and the yellow S.O.R.T bin

Up to 10 items, not exceeding 200 pounds in all, may be put at the curb on any one collection day. Larger items that can be broken down, such as carpets, sheetrock and lumber, are tied in bundles of no more than 50 pounds and four feet in any direction.

The Old Bethpage Solid Waste Disposal Complex hosts the STOP and Homeowner's Cleanup Programs, which the Department of Sanitary Collection Services oversees.

Bethpage Water District accounts
