Moving company reviews in Chicago

“Moving is always stressful. We had previously had a bad experience with another company. Our experience with Beltman was great. Megan performed the walk-through and offered a thorough detailed quote. Brenda followed up regularly in advance of our move and throughout the day of move. The crew of five showed up on time, communicated during the moving process, were efficient and made a long day much easier with their professionalism. Highly recommended.”

“D’Angelo was prompt, courteous and professional.”

“Eric and his team did a fabulous job! They protected our furniture and moved everything out very efficiently with no damage. Many thanks!!”

“Great movers. Highly recommend.”

“Deangelo did an amazing job assembling a dresser I ordered from Wayfair! He was prompt, kind, efficient, and even carried the packaging down to the first floor of our townhouse for me. Highly recommend!”

“Murphy Family Movers was recommended to us by my brother and SIL who had just used them and were so pleased. They were amazing! Very communicative, and responsive. When the dates of our move shifted, they adjusted at the last minute,, without hesitation. The crew that came was so quick, efficient, and personable. Their pricing was extremely reasonable, considerably less expensive than other companies I called. I hope we never move again, but if we do, we will absolutely call them!”

“Very efficient, careful, and respectful! The guys did a great job moving boxes and furniture from a second floor apartment with no elevator to a storage unit nearby. Very reasonable and made it an easy moving day!”

“We moved with Marathon Movers on June 30 and I can’t recommend them enough! Riff, Nelson, and Robert were so speedy, efficient, and had great attitudes the entire time. It was 95 degrees that day and both apartments didn’t have A/C, and I was so impressed with their professionalism and friendliness. The people working in the office were also very responsive and helpful. I’ll be moving with them in the future!”

“Quick but high quality! Highly recommend”

“I had Murphy Family Movers move me on May 30th. They were professional and did a nice job.”

“I bought an old machine and was looking for someone to drive an hour, get it, pack it up, move it to my basement, and set it up again. Lee was terrific, quick, and exceedingly careful. Highly recommended!”

“The guys were very professional and efficient. They were personable and were sensitive to our needs. Great Crew”

“I needed to move a pinball machine from one house to another. Lee, the owner of this business, brought his motorized machine that helped move the heavy pinball machine up the basement stairs. They cushioned the back piece when folding it down to prevent damage, got it safely into their truck and transported it to my house. Since the stairs at my house aren’t straight, they couldn’t use the machine to deliver the game to my basement. Lee and his partner used a dolly and then lifted the pinball machine down by hand, stair by stair. This was extremely difficult and we could never have done it ourselves. Lee also opened the machine and checked the condition of the circuit board as well as playing the game to see if everything worked. He told me that he provides additional services, such as coming to the house to clean and condition every part of the pinball machine, or if necessary he will pick up the circuit board to repair in his shop. I would highly recommend this company. They are very knowledgeable and they get the job done!”

“Affordable City Movers made our move so much easier. “Normally I become really nervous when I have to relocate. This time, however, everything went quite well. The staff planned everything very effectively and provided me detailed information before the move. The team transported my things with respect and took care of all the details during the relocation process. A couple of fragile items were delivered to my new house undamaged. Nothing confused me during the process.”

“Very professional and great service. Was really impressed. Definitely would recommend again”

“My business was in a bind and needed something very bulky, heavy, and expensive moved by end of day. It was already 430pm and I found Roy on Google. Despite having no guys available, he came out himself and was there within 20 minutes with moving gear. Helped me get our new front counter through a tight space and into place very quickly and efficiently. The moving emergency popped up at 430 and the job was done by 530 - truly one of the most exceptional service experiences I’ve encountered as a business owner. Roy couldn’t have been kinder and also charged a price that was more than fair considering the job and circumstances. If you’re looking for quality moving services, you’ve found the right place. Thanks again Roy!”

“Ed and the guys did a fantastic job! They tested my Nana and her possessions with the utmost respect. As if they were family!!”

“Last Call Hot Tub Movers delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish. Even took the time to drop off from the O'Hare to the Wisconsin area. Tim and his wife were exceptional — their communication was clear, timely, and reassuring throughout the entire process. They handled my hot tub with true care and professionalism, making a potentially stressful move feel effortless. Their attention to detail, friendly attitude, and commitment to doing the job right really stood out. It’s rare to find a team that combines skill, efficiency, and genuine customer service at this level. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I highly recommend Last Call Hot Tub Movers to anyone needing reliable, knowledgeable, and courteous hot tub relocation services. They truly go above and beyond.”

“Ondemand crushed it on our move. Three young guys with great attitudes, worked well together, and moved quickly. Nothing was damaged, and they even quickly put together the bed and sectional for us at the new place. Highly recommend--felt like a great rate for the service, and they did not dilly dally to add to the hourly rate at all. Roughly 4 hours long for a smaller two bed/two bath move, and they arrived by 10 am in the morning.”

“Great price! Very fast and accomodated my Sunday move. Great guys to work with! Would highly recommend.”

With less than 1 day of advance notice, they arrived promptly within the agreed-upon time window and quickly moved the boxes for a 3 bd/2.5 condo well within the estimated time. They saved the day. I plan to use them again.”
