“We moved from Phila to NJ, the three men team were on time and upon arrival friendly. The leader of the team “Keith” took inventory of what was being taken and then they began to carefully remove items to fit properly in their truck. My main concern was our living room leather couches which were expensive (they disassembled and reassembled and got them in our new townhouse). To be able and make the stairway tight turns was amazing! They placed everything exactly as requested on all three levels. This team has patience, they methodology strategize there next moves. The hourly rate is not over priced. I commend these three black men for doing such an Excellent job! I mentioned their race because often black men get a bad rap in doing business, not this crew. “My fiance called this moving company to help us move from a 1 bedroom into a 2 bedroom at a different complex. We were originally scheduled to move December 24th, Christmas Eve. They were able to get us in 2 days earlier on Wednesday the 22nd. They even called us the day of and told us they will be there 1 hour earlier than we expected them. From the moment we met our 2 guys they were nothing but polite, respectful, and responsible. They handled our things with great care, no matter how small the item was. Unloading became challenging due to the fact they had to climb up to the 3rd floor of our new place and there was not an elevator to help. Even with the difficult move, our 2 gentleman still showed us a smile the entire time. We highly highly recommend this moving company and will absolutely keep them in mind if we ever move again. Would give more than 5 stars if I was able.”

Amber said let me see what we can do! Boy did this company come through! She called me back within an hour and had Bobby, Jeremy and Joe there as promised! Those 3 were terrific! “We had a very chaotic move with a double settlement day. We had tj work with B and K on two separate days to pack the truck one day and deliver another. Both crews (there was some overlap) were fantastic. We have a lot of stuff (books and such) and we had a piece we had to take out a window, but they took it all in stride. They were professional, came up with a plan to Jenga all our stuff, and were funny and kind while doing it. They reported anything questionable to us. And everything arrived safely. We have nothing but good things to say and they were the cheapest quote by a mile. And available… which not everyone was!”

“I worked with Sam (the owner) OF Smooth Moving Pros and had a very positive experience. This was my first time hiring professional movers and his team made things very easy to move from Philadelphia to San Francisco. His price wasn't the lowest (I didn't trust too many of these brokers), but it was the most fair. When you trust your entire life's possessions with a company, would you want to nickel and dime the service provider?<br><br>His team did a great job diligently packing every item exceptionally well and ensuring everything was tagged and labeled. This organized method helped ensure the move was smooth on the receiving end. The challenging thing with moving across the country is that you really have to be flexible on the receiving end, and Sam did an amazing job to ensure that the delivery came into the window I was able to be available, and we ended up receiving our delivery on time.<br><br>And finally, because it is a move, and things happen, we had some small items damaged during the delivery. There will always be a degree of risk in moving, and Sam made the claims process as simple as possible. We will be using Sam if we move back, and for our family's upcoming moves.”

“I had a great experience with Reads. Not my first time using them; worked with Reads on corporate moves a few times, and they moved my home now twice. First, their estimate was spot on. It is amazing to me that they are able to eyeball your “stuff” and know how much you have. Charges are by weight and distance.<br>The moving team assigned to my home (Randy and Anthony) were undoubtedly their A-Team. It is amazing how much experience the team at Reads has, and it is my hope that they all feel a sense of pride in this.<br><br>Randy and Anthony showed up on Monday to pack me nice and early. They both had a great sense of humor, and lifted, moved, and carefully wrapped and packed items so quickly, I felt like I had a 4 or 5 man crew. They must go through shoes at an incredible rate. The truck was packed so expertly, that I do not think a mouse could have even fit in the truck along with the cargo. Whatever they are making, I can tell you they deserve a raise; having people that hustle like they do, can think quickly on their feet, and who show such enthusiasm on the job is a rare thing indeed.<br>On Tuesday, they were joined by Billy, and to have well over half a century of moving experience -- between Randy and Billy alone, really showed.<br>Not only did they all go above and beyond in every way, the move took half the time that I expected. With three people, unloading went like a flash, and all three of the gentlemen were kind, patient, and even relocated a few things that we couldn't decide on. They helped to unwrap and reassemble the furniture too. I am impressed in every way, and cannot imagine more capable people exist anywhere.<br>I even learned a new way to carry boxes behind me thanks to some coaching by Billy. I know he is "moving on" from Reads (couldn't resist the pun), but will think of him every time I move a box behind my back now. -- It is surprisingly convenient!<br>Thank you to Reads.
