Local services and rules

Moving to Pinellas Park: who to call and what the city asks.

Some addresses with a Pinellas Park mailing address are outside the city's service area, and Public Works at 727-369-5850 can help confirm an address. For power outages, the city's emergency phone numbers page lists both Duke Energy and TECO Energy.

Starting and ending service through Utility Billing

The city's Utility Billing Division bills water, sewer, reclaimed water, stormwater, garbage and recycling services.

Starting utility service requires an authorized signature, a deposit, legal identification, a social security number, the service address and a turn-on date. Ending service permanently requires an authorized signature, the service address, a turn-off date and a forwarding address.

Completed utility service forms can be sent in through the city's online customer account, by email to utilitybilling@pinellaspark.gov, or in person at City Hall, 5141 78th Ave.

New reclaimed water service connections for irrigation are arranged through Community Development at 727-369-5647.

Garbage on Tuesday and Friday, recycling on Wednesday

Garbage collection is mandatory within the city limits. Residential garbage is collected Tuesday and Friday and recycling on Wednesday, with containers at the curb by 7 a.m.

Residents supply their own garbage containers, up to a 35 gallon maximum with handles and a lid. A new resident without a recycling container can call Utility Billing at 727-369-0690 to have one delivered.

Furniture and appliance pickup at the curb

Furniture and appliances are collected curbside on regular trash days; the pickup is scheduled by calling Utility Billing at 727-369-0690.

A refrigerator or freezer must have the door removed or padlocked before it goes to the curb. Automotive parts, construction and building materials and hazardous wastes are not collected curbside.

Clean Up Day and the county collection

On a Pinellas Park Clean Up Day, residents can drop off debris for free. Drop-off requires proof of residency, such as a driver's license or a Pinellas Park utility bill.

Clean Up Day does not accept garbage, food waste, engine blocks and parts, batteries, used motor oil, anti-freeze or other hazardous waste, including paint cans.

Pinellas County Household Electronics and Chemical Collections can be reached at 727-464-7500.

Pinellas Park Transit Center and the PPLC library card

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority serves Pinellas Park through a Pinellas Park Transit Center.

A PPLC library card lets a resident borrow print material, digital material and museum passes throughout the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative.

Alert Pinellas and flood insurance discounts

Residents can sign up for Alert Pinellas to receive notifications about mandatory evacuations, hurricane information and flooding events.

Pinellas Park exceeds minimum NFIP requirements, which qualifies citizens for flood insurance discounts.

Community Compliance

Community Compliance, the city's code enforcement, investigates complaints of possible ordinance violations.
