Some how there is a big disconnect between the sales and the drivers. I ended being charged an additional fee of over $500. I will have another move within a year and most definately will not use this company ever again. DO NOT USE THEM”

“Virginia Moving did an outstanding job with our move. As a military retiree I have done multiple moves and this was one of the best. The staff (Jeff Brittle inventory survey and Melissa Lilly move coordinator) were great to work with and kept us informed the entire process. The packing team and the load/unload teams were professional, courteous and diligent in taking care of our possessions and our homes. We would definitely use Virginia Moving again.”

“If I could give Xpress Movers 0 stars, I would. My experience started off well, but quickly turned into one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had. During my move in May, the two movers damaged a hallway light fixture in my apartment building while taking a break. I immediately notified my point of contact, who apologized, confirmed that the movers acknowledged the damage, and assured me that it would be taken care of. Before my move was completed, I asked what the reimbursement process would be for the damaged property and was told I would receive a follow-up after they spoke with U-Haul. When I contacted U-Haul myself, they informed me that the moving company—not U-Haul—was responsible for resolving the damage. Since then, I have made multiple attempts over the following weeks to reach both my original contact and the company owner through text messages, emails, and phone calls. My messages have either been ignored or met with generic responses that never addressed the issue. Despite repeated promises to follow up, no one has taken responsibility or offered a resolution causing me to be charged by my apartment building for damage they caused. I have photos and video footage documenting the damage, as well as records of my communication attempts. Accidents happen, and I understand that. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of accountability and communication afterward. A reputable company should stand behind its work, promptly address damages caused by its employees, and treat customers with honesty and integrity. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Xpress Movers and I am in disbelief. I cannot recommend a company that lacks integrity, refuses to take responsibility when something goes wrong.”

“I used them to move a house of furniture less than 30 miles. We got a written estimate from them before the move which was entirely different from what they charged us after the move. The total charges increased by almost 40%. Then the owner, who was on site, straight up lied to me about owning the Llc. Do not use them to move, as they will not hold to the quote.”

“They were unloading my sofa and as I was watching it was tilted down and dragged across the edge of the piano corner , which tore the front of my sofa about a six inch rip. They said they had someone to fix it. But now denying that they did it. And are not responding to me to get it repaired. It happened on 1/23/26.”

“A few months ago, another moving company canceled on me at the last minute on a rainy day. I contacted Don and he came through the very same day. Once the rain stopped, Don and his team arrived and handled everything with professionalism and care. “The worst move I’ve had in 22 years—and I’ve done 12 military relocations. This company was a complete failure on every level. I was only moving 2.3 miles away, and they still managed to turn it into a week-long nightmare. What should have been a straightforward 2 day pack, 1 day load, 1 day move turned into a chaotic mess. A different crew showed up each day with no clue what the others had done, and communication was nonexistent. One day was canceled entirely because their truck broke down. They “lost” $1200 in gaming equipment from my son’s room, a full size headboard, and a bed rail—then assembled the bed anyway without saying a word. My iMac was completely smashed. Despite clearly labeled items, they still mixed up what was going to my new home and what belonged in storage. Total damages exceeded $3700. I emailed them repeatedly to file a claim (as instructed)—no response. When I finally texted after a week, I was told, “Sorry, I’ve been out moving.” That’s the level of professionalism. I’ve moved cross-country and overseas. This 2.3-mile move was somehow the most disorganized, careless, and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had. Do not hire them. You will regret it.”

“Would have easily given them a 4-5* rating if it was not now almost two years since they took a drawer from our dresser to repair after damaging it in the move and we cannot find a way to get it back. Despite talking to numerous people over the last month and being assured it was fixed and would be returned three times over the last month, every time resulted in me waiting at the house for no reason (and no update from them). All we want is the drawer back at this point as we could have fixed it ourselves. Instead, we seem to be ghosted by them as they will not return our calls anymore. Would caution anyone from using them and would certainly tell anyone they should insist on being able to repair anything damaged through a claim while keeping the item themselves. Now we just have a dresser with no drawer and seem to get no help after initial assurances. Incredibly frustrating.”

Left items in my old house, when I stopped payment on the check when I found they hadn’t moved everything, the owner threatened me with violence. Took them to court, I won, 4 years later, they still haven’t paid their judgment. I’d leave a 0 review if I could.”
