“The move was great until the time to sign the bill came. I noticed there was an extra $100 added on to the bill. As I was looking it over, Gerard was extremely sarcastic and asked if “I was doing arithmetic in my head or something” to rush me. I asked about the extra charge and he said it was because we went over the 2 hour estimate. Looking over the evidence of them saying when they arrived and of them sending the final picture of the moved items, I noticed they went 4 minutes over the time limit. To charge $100 for 4 extra minutes is quite excessive in my eyes and I wish we could have come to a better agreement. I likely would have tipped that much, but to be charged that amount seems like a scam. I would not recommend them in the future. They took advantage of me and I do not think that’s a good business practice.”

The lead mover Matt stayed in communication prior to arriving up to the end point. Matt & James wrapped the furniture and handles the fragile items with great care. Nothing was damaged or broken. They even provided totes for me to use instead of having to buy a bunch of boxes, which was such a thoughtful and convenient touch. They took the time to carefully wrap my belongings and handled everything with so much care. Even my old, basically-falling-apart dresser made it through the move with absolutely no issues 😂. “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow—these guys are PROFESSIONALS! Ross came out to my home to move my shed, and I had already built a foundation for it. When he saw it, he told me, “We don’t normally put sheds on foundations.” I’m not gonna lie—I was pretty upset because I had put a lot of work into getting everything ready. But that didn’t stop Ross and his team! He looked at the situation, told me straight up, “This is about to be nuts!” 😂 And he was right—it was! But Ross and his dream team figured it out and got the job DONE, and more importantly, they got it done the right way the first time. These guys worked together like a well-oiled machine. I seriously can’t recommend them enough. If you need a shed, hot tub, or anything similar hauled or moved, these are the guys you want doing it. Absolutely earned the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me. “**Josh did a great job during the estimating process. He thoroughly inventoried virtually every item in my home, and his estimate was very competitive with the other companies I received quotes from. Based on that inventory, MG Moving estimated the move would require six movers, two trucks, and approximately eight hours.** **Unfortunately, my experience on moving day was very different. Even after I had already gotten rid of contents of three rooms before the move, Carlos and his crew took approximately 16 hours i.e. double the estimated time. Based on my observations on security camera footage later, it appeared the crew worked at a much slower pace than expected, and took their time which significantly increased the final cost. **The final bill was nearly double the original estimate. After I raised my concerns, management kept putting it off but eventually reviewed the situation and issued a partial refund. While I appreciate that they made an effort to address the issue, I still ended up paying roughly 50% MORE than the quoted amount (i.e. $2,000 extra) . **My advice is to pay close attention to which crew is assigned to your move. My experience with Carlos' team was disappointing, and I would request a different crew if I were to use MG Moving again.”

“The movers were supposed to call 30 min prior to arrival so I could collect my pets. They didn’t. Only 1 of 5 movers spoke English so we were unable to communicate with most of them. Had to show them how to remove drawers from furniture and then they let us do all of them. Numerous items were damaged. Furniture that wasn’t ours was delivered. They refused to disassemble some furniture and put it in the correct room. Put heavy items in garage instead of asking what room in the house to put them in. Specifically told not to move certain things but they did and damaged them. Damaged walls and ceilings. Dirty handprints over 5 newly painted walls. Ripped items anchored to walls off. Didn’t place furniture too heavy for us to move ourselves where we asked. Lost numerous parts. Claimed to be working longer hours than they did. Disappeared at lunchtime and charged us for that time. Unfortunately the claims process has also been disappointing. Company representatives don’t reply to emails or voice messages. Sales person has no contact with claims person so has no knowledge of client satisfaction or problem movers. Sales person said claims based on fair market value. Claims says it’s based on age and weight. A month has gone by and no resolution nor communication indicating all required forms have been received. Fairly certain based on this behavior we will get screwed. Update - despite the owners response below it's now Jan 2022 and my claim from may 2021 still has not been responded to. I'm still waiting for a response Update - a year after my move and my claim was never processed.”

“Overall, it was a great moving experience. The costs were reasonable. We used their packing service which added to the cost, but it was worth it. We especially liked the point to point delivery service with a specific pick and delivery time. That gave us real peace of mind. Nothing came up missing or damaged. Having moved over a dozen times, that is impressive.”
