Before committing, I reviewed their feedback and noticed some negative reviews about the movers. Concerned, I discussed these with Arthur, the owner of ARKO Moving. He kindly explained that these issues usually arose from logistical oversights, such as not reserving the elevator or securing the loading dock for truck parking. On moving day, all my worries disappeared. The movers exceeded my expectations in every way. Arthur and my friend were absolutely right about the quality of service. My move from College Park to DC took only 2.5 hours, which was much quicker than I expected. The movers even arrived at my new place earlier than I did. I was particularly impressed by how kind and professional the movers were. ARKO Moving offers exceptionally reasonable prices and top-notch service. Upon arrival in Fredericksburg, they quickly unloaded the truck, got everything into place and staged certain items that I had planned to take to Goodwill downstairs for my ease of transport to Goodwill. We had to deal with an unfortunate last minute situation with the freight elevator being down at my new apartment but they handled it so well and were still able to complete my move in record time. Couldn’t recommend them more!”

“Movers showed up 12 hours late and high, it took them 4+ hours to complete what should have been an hour job. Every box marked fragile was smashed. Two boxes with family memorabilia were missing. Both my Harleys were laying on their side with boxes piled on top. Bikes were dented, tail light smashed, grip, foot board, headlight damaged. Tape and strap marks ruined paint in several areas. Movers insurance offered $75 settlement.”

“Ronald, Trace, and the moving crew at A2B did a phenomenal job. Very careful and thorough, faster than their estimated move time, and took care in reassembling furniture that had to be taken apart. We really appreciated their last minute flexibility rescheduling because we forgot to get the DC reserved street parking signs in time (PSA - you need at least 72 hours notice to request them). Would absolutely use them again.”

“Had a great moving experience with these guys, the Packers from CO, driver who delivered to PA, all awesome people. Pricing was adjusted accordingly so I did pay a little more. Did not have them move fragile items other than a TV which came in perfect shape. They may have done a little overestimate for cu. Ft but it was ballpark accurate. Shout out to Tomas from CO, and the South American 50 year old driver champ!! (Sorry forgot your name!) Dispatch relayed necessary info, and had payment doable over phone/card. Final payment was via certified check. First payment via Steve was simple and easy as well. Never heard back from him but he was pleasant to speak with as well.”

“Yesterday, Mics Moving got us from DC to Brooklyn, NY and they did it flawlessly!!! We were hugely impressed with their speedy pace while putting extra care into keeping all of our things safe and secure. They were early to arrive and checked in with us along the way. They did the whole move in one day (including a 5 hr drive). They were kind and considerate and they made moving fun! We didn’t want to go with a big corporation and from the moment we saw their website, and read the testimonials, we knew they would be perfect for us. We spent months looking forward to our move, and we honestly couldn’t wait to meet Mic’s Movers! They did a phenomenal job, and we can’t thank them enough for all their impeccable work. “2 star just for them being polite but I was never satisfied with their service. Cheap but careless. They ended up damaging my glassware even of its properly packed and labeled as fragile, they’re lifting it like any other boxes. They also dinged the wall in the staircase while lifting stuff upstairs and scratch the floor.”

“We are very happy with our move from a split home to a storage unit in Baltimore. Orlando was very professional and responsive and was able to schedule our move at the last minute. The movers, Kuri and Tedd were very patient with our instructions and took great care in packing and moving our items. They were very considerate and polite and even offered my father a chair to sit while he observed the moving process. Also, they helped set up a video chat to witness the move since we were out of town. Be mindful that this kind of transition takes hours and it is important to discuss all the fees, time and amount of help that you will receive. And if you have blankets for your furniture then it is a good idea to ask them to remove theirs to free some space in the truck. Exceptional customer service and fair pricing. In addition, we were very pleased when Orlando was able to adjust our final bill. Overall, we recommend this company and will be using them again in the near future.”

They worked very hard over two days and treated our property with kit gloves. And they didn’t waste time. There was no standing around. These guys were always moving. “The Owner, Raymond came out, himself, to assess and give me an estimate. He provided his quote within 24 hours & explained my payment options. Once everything was signed, he provided me details for the day of my actual move as well as how how to obtain any supplies I may be needing. The morning of the move, the gentleman showed up promptly & immediately got to work with loading boxes while others began wrapping large pieces such as my sofa and chairs, dressers, the mattress & bed.<br><br>When we arrived to the other side, the moved everything in as expeditiously as possible, even setting the larger pieces of furniture where I wanted them to go in the room.<br><br>The entire move was done professionally and within the timeframe that was quoted.<br><br>I would highly recommend Flow Moving services and will be using them in the near future to relocate my mother.”

“I hired Swift & Gentle to move my girlfriends home and that went well although they changed the price at the end from the quote but it was only a $30 difference so I paid. When I was moving myself I used them and they added almost $900 to the initial price after they were done. They lost multiple items and forgot a lot of things which resulted in me paying additional rent at my previous place. They broke important art as well. They tried to discount it but it wasn’t much and I’m still learning about broken or missing pieces.”

This was the first time I had to move myself. Alfredo Moving has been by far the best moving company we've experienced. The other companies damaged items and/or walls, but Alfredo and his team were very CAREFUL with my items and my home. No broken items or damages to my home. THIS WAS OUTSTANDING! The work was not easy as it was a small house, and previous movers struggled to get things in to the house, but Alfredo made it look so easy. The three men were EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. I am so thankful to have hired them, and their price was hard to beat. They even helped with recommendations on furniture placement to make the rooms feel larger. My family and I are extremely happy with this experience. I HOPE TO USE ALFREDO MOVING ON MY NEXT MOVE!”

“Gus and his team showed up ON TIME and worked diligently to get me packed up. They were professional and friendly and none of them reeked of cigarettes which I appreciated. They wrapped and protected my furnishings with care! The truck was packed so well, I could have moved more things! Lol I would highly recommend Gus and his team!”

“‘Immediately charged $1000 more when they showed up. Wrapped a few items in old used torn cloths and charged full price for packing material. Said our cubic foot was doubled. Not true. There was once nice person in the office but the others were nasty and were threatening us on the phone to pay the balance immediately. Please do yourself a favor and educate yourself and do not use the brokers that contract. There are better moving companies out there. Items arrived with rubbed spots in furniture, bookcase was destroyed and boxes were wet. Delivery guys on receiving end were fantastic. The res of the experiment was horrible. Don’t make they mistake we made.”
