The Hood County Citizens Collection Station at 244 Bray Street
The Hood County Citizens Collection Station at 244 Bray Street takes bulk trash, glass, metal, paper, plastic, cardboard, motor oil and antifreeze. It also accepts household trash, mattresses, TVs, construction materials, sheetrock and refrigerators. Refrigerators must be cleaned and empty.
City utilities and the $300 deposit
The City provides electric, water, sewer and trash utilities for Granbury residents. Its Welcome to Granbury page for new residents says to confirm the address is served by City utilities and then follow the New/Disconnect Utility Service page.
On that page, every residential utility account needs a flat $300 deposit to start service. Tenants must show a lease, or an application for a lease, listing all occupants, the length of the lease and the address with unit number.
Gas and internet are not City services
The City does not provide gas service. It has no internet utility either; residents choose their own internet provider.
