Moving to Newnan: who to call and what the city asks.

Newnan runs a free fixed-route trolley on Friday through Sunday afternoons from City Hall at 25 LaGrange Street. The trolley is open to all riders and serves downtown shops, restaurants and Ashley Park. The LINC is a 12-foot-wide paved multi-use path system that works as a linear park for walking and biking. Burning inside the city limits requires a burn permit from the Fire Marshal.

Brush and bulk pickup

Brush and bulk items are collected as a city service, with collection days shown on an interactive city map. Yard debris and bulk waste set out for collection must keep sidewalks and streets clear.

Refrigerators must have the refrigerant removed before they go out as bulk waste or to the recycle center.

Weekly garbage and recycling carts

Residents within the city limits get weekly garbage and recycling collection under a city contract. When a collection day falls on or after a holiday, service is delayed one day for that week.

Trash and most recycling go in one cart, and all items for pickup must be placed within the cart. An additional cart can be added through the city, but nothing left outside a cart is serviced. Backdoor service or an additional cart is requested through the city's Additional Service Request Form.
