Moving to Pineville: who to call and what the city asks.

Pineville is in southern Mecklenburg County, bordered by Charlotte to the north, east and northwest and by South Carolina to the southwest. A Pineville zip code does not always mean inside town limits: neighborhoods west of Lancaster Highway, including Cardinal Woods and Danby, are outside the town. Properties along Park Road by the Hospital, including Willow Ridge and Willowhurst, have a Charlotte zip code but are inside the town limits.

Large vehicle parking, private roads and noise hours

Parking a vehicle, trailer, material or equipment wider than 90 inches, any commercial vehicle, or any vehicle over 10,000 pounds on a street or street right-of-way in town is unlawful, except where on-street commercial vehicle parking or loading has been approved by Pineville Town Council.

Some streets in town are private roads or state-maintained rather than town-maintained.

Creating any unreasonably loud or disturbing noise between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. is unlawful in town.

Waste Pro trash and recycling carts

Waste Pro handles residential trash and recycling collection under a contract with the town. Each household gets a green cart for trash and a blue cart for recycling.

Trash and yard debris are picked up each Wednesday and recycling every other Wednesday, except some holidays. Branch and brush piles are kept small, cut up and stacked neatly at the curb.

Bulky pickup and the Fox Hole Recycling Center

Bulky items are collected only when scheduled with Waste Pro, which can be reached at 980-255-3800. Items waste haulers cannot pick up, such as construction debris, televisions, computers and related electronic equipment, and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, can be taken to the Fox Hole Recycling Center at 17131 Lancaster Hwy.
