I worked for a company that rented AV equipment for convention center events and hotel conferences in 1990 and 91 and that meant moving equipment that was heavy, delicate, and had to arrive on time. “I can't say enough great things about my experience with AP Pro. After I submitted my initial request for a quote, Aaron called me the very next day, answered all my questions, and explained the entire process. Super nice guy. They've done a lot of moves in Navy Yard so they were familiar with my apartment building which was so convenient. On move-out day they were right on time, asked me thorough questions about what I wanted moved, and moved everything so quickly! They also saved me a ton of money and trouble by helping me move various large pieces of furniture and other items that I no longer wanted to my building's dumpster area. I was so worried about how to dispose of things that I couldn't sell, so this was a major relief! Then, for the move-in, they left my apartment perfectly set up and clean, and had great judgement about where certain things should go. They also worked incredibly quickly and assembled my bed so well that I no longer have to deal with a squeaky noise I've been dealing with for two years. And I just want to emphasize again, they were all so nice, responsible, and a pleasure to work with. There was no way I could've moved everything by myself in just a few hours, so I'm very thankful for their help!!!”

“Probably the worst moving experience I’ve had out of town in quite some time. Came smelling like weed. Demanded full payment up front. Not great movers at all. Milked the clock. Horrible experience. Texted me one price and charged me another upon arriving. Maybe it was a bad day for them, but it wasn’t a good look. I hire several moving companies to assist my company with relocating customers across United States, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. My customer wasn’t happy and I’m not happy.”

From the start, coordination was professional, efficient, and clearly focused on getting us the best possible deal — pricing was outstanding for such a long-distance move. The moving crew was polite and handled the piano with care; it arrived in great condition. We did hit a small snag when the delivery window slipped because a prior job ran long, but the team communicated well and kept us informed, which we really appreciated. “I had the best movers!! Marlon, Anderson and Rafael were a wonderful team. They were polite and respectful. They worked so well together to get my stuff on the truck. I have a King size Sleep Number Bed that had to be taken apart and then put back together. All of the bells and whistles with this bed work just as good as before it was taken apart!!. There was a snafu tho. I was on the PA turnpike doing the speed limit of 70 mph and had a problem with controlling my car. (Sway Bar problem) To top it off I then had a flat tire. I think hitting the wall for the second time did it. Anyway I was not able to meet the drivers at the apartment as I was stuck at Pep Boys. My apartment manager and also my granddaughter did eventually appear and the guys were able to finish it up without me as I was stranded a couple of hours away. They did a beautiful job.”

From my very first interaction with Dominic, who coordinated and scheduled everything, the experience was professional, responsive, and reassuring.<br><br>On moving day, Paul, Erick, Mohamed, and Octavian arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule and immediately impressed me with their professionalism, communication, and teamwork. At both my old apartment and my new apartment, they took the time to walk the space first, ask questions, understand the layout, and confirm the plan before getting started.<br><br>This was a full-service move, and they packed my apartment from scratch. They took exceptional care with my belongings, thoughtfully wrapping and protecting everything. It was obvious they genuinely cared about doing the job right, not just getting it done quickly. Throughout the day, communication was excellent—not only with me, but with one another. You could tell this was a team that works well together and takes pride in what they do.<br><br>The move took approximately 12 hours from start to finish. After packing my apartment, transporting everything, and unloading at my new building, they carefully placed items where they belonged and checked in whenever they needed clarification. They worked incredibly hard all day while remaining professional, positive, and organized.<br><br>One thing I especially appreciated was the transparency. The final cost came in within the upper end of the estimate range I had been given, so there were no surprises. At the end of the move, Paul took the time to walk me through the final bill line by line, explain the charges, and answer my questions. I forgot to tell them not to pack a few things I needed immediate access to, including pet supplies and medications. Even after everything had been packed, they knew exactly where those items were and quickly located the correct box so I could retrieve them.<br><br>For anyone planning a move, a few tips:<br><br>* Send your detailed inventory list as early as possible when scheduling.<br>* Be very clear about anything you do not want packed.<br>* Make sure you identify safe and convenient parking locations for loading and unloading.<br>* If you’re moving into or out of an apartment building, reserve your loading dock and freight elevator ahead of time.<br>* And if you can, tip these guys well—they absolutely earn it.<br><br>Moving is rarely fun, but this team made it as painless as possible. It didn’t end up fitting through the door so they had to disassemble some parts and in the new location they reassembled the chair and made sure everything worked. I initially hired some taskers from Dolly to do this move and they unfortunately failed but Ally moving got the job done! They were able to problem solve moving a 300+ pound chair through my dc row house with a good attitude and attention to detail. Would absolutely hire this group again. Thanks again!”
