Moving to Lehi: who to call and what the city asks.

Lehi has a separate pressurized irrigation system for watering, in addition to culinary drinking water. Property owners turn irrigation water on at the city connection in the spring and off in the fall. Lehi Fiber is a City-owned, open-access fiber network serving residents and businesses, and residents choose their internet provider from those on the network. Garbage is normally included with city utilities, but some addresses get it through an HOA and do not pay for it on the city utility bill.

Snow removal and plowing

Property owners must clear snow from driveway openings, the sidewalks next to their property, and around fire hydrants and mailboxes. Shoveling or blowing snow into the street is prohibited by city ordinance.

City crews remove snow around the clock from November 1 to April 30. Subdivisions, cul-de-sacs and end streets are not plowed until four inches or more of snow has accumulated.

Lehi City utilities and Enbridge Energy

The Lehi City Power Department provides electrical service to its customers. The city lists power, water and sewer together as Lehi City utilities, and a new resident can sign up for them online through an Xpress Bill Pay account. Gas utility services are provided by Enbridge Energy.

Dumpster rental and the Lindon transfer station

Customers who pay for garbage to Lehi City can use the city dumpster rental program, which provides an oversize dumpster for five days. Gas tanks, tires, batteries, motor oils, paint, solvents, refrigerators, air conditioners and electronics are not allowed in it. Waste and recycling pick-up schedules are on the city garbage and recycling page.

Lehi is one of the participating cities for mixed waste at the North Pointe Solid Waste Special Service District transfer station in Lindon. The district's fee page also lists mattresses, tires, electronics and household hazardous waste for residences.

Dog licenses and the animal shelter

All dogs 4 months or older must be licensed under the Lehi Municipal Code, with a current veterinary rabies vaccination certificate. Tags can be requested online or picked up at the North Utah Valley Animal Shelter in Lindon.

Lehi City Library

The Lehi City Library is at 131 N 100 E. It is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
