Local services and rules

Moving to Natick: who to call and what the city asks.

All trash in the town must go in approved blue Town of Natick Pay-As-You-Throw bags, and recyclables must go in town-provided recycling totes, or they will not be picked up. Bags and containers must be at the curb by 7:00 AM on collection day, and the trucks pass each street once and do not return for late collections. Electricity customers are automatically enrolled in the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program and can leave at any time; Eversource still delivers the electricity.

Permit to Occupy a Public Way and snow parking

A Permit to Occupy a Public Way from the Select Board is required to occupy a street or sidewalk.

When a snow alert is issued, residents are asked to remove their car from the street. The Town can also declare a parking ban for a weather event, and emergency overnight parking is provided at the municipal lot on Pond Street only.

Residents can get sand or a sand-salt mix for home use at the Department's maintenance yard off Oak Street; bring your own container and shovel, with a five gallon maximum. In winter, trash bags, barrels and recycling bins should not be placed on top of high snow banks.

Collector's Office water and sewer billing

Water and sewer billing is done by the Collector's Office in Town Hall at 13 East Central Street, which is also where bill questions go.

The water turn on/off form is for construction or emergency service only. A change in ownership or billing information uses the Final Bill request form.

Bulky pickup and the Recycling Center on West Street

Residents whose homes get curbside trash and recycling collection from the Town can schedule a bulky pickup. Any metal items can be brought to the recycling center.

The Recycling Center is on West Street at the corner of Route 27. It is open Thursday and Friday 8:00 am to noon, and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The paint shed there takes latex and oil base paints only, up to 5 gallons per resident per visit, and is open April to October. Residents can dispose of yard waste year-round at the Recycling Center.

Natick Public Schools enrollment documents

New students are registered with Natick Public Schools through an online enrollment account and a New Student Registration form.

Enrollment requires at least one document each for proof of residency (Column A), proof of occupancy (Column B) and parent or guardian photo identification (Column C).

Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail stops

The MBTA Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line serves Natick, running east-west from Boston's South Station to Worcester's Union Station. The line stops at Natick Center (1 Walnut Street) and West Natick (2459 W. Central Street).

Dog licenses at the Town Clerk's Office

All dogs 6 months of age or older must be licensed with the Town Clerk's Office. Dog licenses must be renewed annually by March 1.
