Moving company reviews in New York

“Called Sher for a weekend piano move and he was able to fit me in. The piano was moved from a tight basement setup in Queens to a condo in Hoboken with no issues. True professionals.”

“We hired the Advanced Moving Pros to move the contents of our living room and dining room into a pod in the driveway. The team was great! They were flexible when we had to change our date. They were on time and got our furniture safely into our pod. We will be calling them again soon to move back into the house.”

“Great experience with them and will recommend them to anyone I know! For context: My partner and I were moving out from a 2 bed 2 bath on the 4th floor of walk-up building😰 We had so many heavy furniture & boxes that we were concerned it would take them hours. They are SO experienced it took them around an hour to bring everything down and another hour to bring everything up to our drop off location. So happy someone recommended me them and that they helped us. (If you speak Mandarin don't be shy to talk to them too they are all super friendly!) 太感謝你們了”

“I needed to move my baby grand for a wedding event in Long Island. Sher squeezed me into their schedule and delivered flawless service. Super courteous and punctual.”

“I had a job that was not a move, I was gifted a rug and wanted it put down in my bedroom. My furniture needed be to move out and placed back in, including my bed which needed to be disassembled and reassembled. The guys who came were very careful with my stuff and finished quickly. Excellent communication when parking in my neighborhood held them up.
All arranged with Vance over the phone , who made the process super easy and a fair price. Would use again!!!!”

“The guys were great! They were on time, pleasant, and knew what they were doing. I would definitely use them again.”

“Lorenzo and Rory moved a piano down from a fourth floor walk up and then over to my apartment. Really meticulous and thorough work, with the piano working perfectly and in exactly the same condition as it started. Awesome dudes who were also super friendly and with great taste in music. Massive thanks to them, and I’d highly recommend ProMovers for any moving needs. They were also the most affordable by far when I called around the area”

“I used 360 Degree Moving for my recent move and they were absolutely amazing. A day that is usually supposed to feel stressful, they made completely stress free. Their efficiency was unmatched, they were extremely friendly and easy to work with, and I truly couldn't recommend them more.”

“The team did an amazing job! Super professional and friendly. Highly recommended :)”

“Miller's Honest moving is that and much more. The men moving my piano did it with precision, care, and complete professionalism. To watch them, you couldn't help but notice how dedicated each was to ensuring the job was done right.”

“McAvey movers went above and beyond helping my family with our move. Merlin, Felix, and the rest of the moving crew were a very hardworking and professional group who were a significant help during a stressful process in very high temperatures. I would absolutely recommend McAvey movers to anyone going through a move!”

“Mel and his guys moved me & my family from Staten Island, to White Plains! Not one issue, everything went beautifully, the guys were very professional! Even mounted my TVS for a great price”

“From my first conversation with Jacob Morris, where he took the time to explain exactly how the Morris Moving process would work, I knew that we were in good hands. His estimate, informed by my conducting a smartphone video tour of our apartment, turned out to be amazingly accurate. A few months later, a team of six consummate professionals took three days to first pack, then load, then unload our belongings smoothly, efficiently, and incredibly cheerfully. We were starting from New York City where, as luck would have it, an unexpected closure of our street presented a huge last-minute inconvenience. The head of the team (thank you, Desmond!) didn’t utter a word of complaint and found a way around the whole potential disaster without ever showing the slightest sign of stress. Then, once the van arrived at our new home, every single person on the team could not have been more patient and helpful in getting as many things as possible unpacked, assembled, positioned and sometimes repositioned. They were clearly willing to stay for as long as we needed them, even after every box was unloaded. If you want your move to be unlike any you’ve ever experienced, call Morris Movers. They are the absolute best.”

“Don from Lemkau coordinated our recent move. He was professional and helpful both over-the-phone and in person. Lemkau responded and provided an affordable moving estimate in a short time. Their team was very careful with my belongings and ensured that everything was properly wrapped and protected. They delivered everything and set up my furniture in the new space. I found them thorough, thoughtful, and effective. I would use them again and would recommend their services.”

“Mel and the guys are great!!! Moved me from Manhattan to Baltimore short notice, very professional and accommodating! Nothing Damaged and even assembled things they didn't take apart!!! Highly recommended”

“We have been using Heirloom for years. They are my go to not only for myself but for my clients as well. They go above and beyond for their clients. You never feel like they are hiding prices behind things, or are not taking the best care of your items. They are some of the people and we love working with them.”

“They set everything up perfectly in my new house, wrapped them securely, and navigated tight spaces without getting scratched. Highly recommended!”

“The moving crew was very patient and arrived early. To ensure nothing was broken, they wrapped each dish and glass separately. They also helped me figure out the best way to arrange my belongings at the new place, and the move took few hours.”

“They organized the vehicle so nothing would shift during the trip, working quickly but carefully. They unloaded everything easily and placed it in the order I requested when we arrived at the new house. Throughout the entire process, they were meticulous and professional.”

“They arrived 20 minutes early at my house. I used layers of shrink wrap and moving blankets to cover my large sofa, artwork, and plants.”

“A definite positive recco for going above and beyond. A trustworthy, good experience with excellent, careful movers who know their stuff. Great for our NYC office move. Would use again. And again. Good people.”

“Gar Hing is amazing, the only moving company I'll use now. We moved 1-bedroom to another 1-bedroom (with a couch and a bed, 2 desks) for $550 plus fees, which is such a good price. Luna is amazing at communications, and day-of they were even early and packed up everything so fast. I highly recommend, they're a family-owned business, and are wonderful people”

“The best wrapping and packing I've seen in a long time . They have seasoned movers with 20+ years of experience , they treated my things like they were theirs, making sure to protect all my valuables and get everything done ✅ in a timely manner not missing any details and communicating the whole time !!!! Thank you kinetics Moving , for making my moving fun and stress less. I will always recommend you Guys 👑✨ 🙏🏽”

“My first contact was with Vance who provided an honest and fair estimate. We were concerned when we realized that our movers would be coming from NY to do an NJ local move. And then told to expect them around 10. Explained we needed an earlier start Vance was able to coordinate things with the driver who at 830 providing an ETA of about 30 mins. The driver Latif and his crew backed into the driveway and his professionalism took over. Knowledgeable, curtious, and considerate work from end to end. Reduced a lot of the stress associated with moving.”

“Bill and his team were so great - they took care of everything, efficiently and with care, and made my move soooo much easier! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for quality movers!”

“We are so lucky to have found 360 Degree for our recent move - they were incredibly professional, courteous, and hard working. We had a complex move where some furniture needed to go to storage while we unloaded a 26 ft truck into a house with multiple levels and a very steep driveway. They took this into consideration during planning and sent a cargo van to help carry things up from the truck at the bottom of the hill. Javier was a great manager with a can-do attitude who calmly took everything in stride and made a plan, which really helped us to feel more relaxed and confident. I can't recommend them enough!”

“Made the move from New York to Chicago last week, and Zino movers were exceptional. A little nerve-wracking generally speaking as it was my first time moving cross country, but the communication and flexibility was amazing. Super efficient and thoughtful regarding packing and logistics. David and Joe on the NY team were very personable and professional. Logistics on mapping out their stops must be very difficult and present some challenges, but they are very communicative and problem solve well. Well priced in addition. Would recommend 10/10 anyone moving from the NYC area to another part of the country. Keep going!”

“Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. From the initial scheduling and set up to the the young men that packed everything perfectly, to the delivery and set up. What a wonderful group of people.”

“I had a fantastic experience with Scanio. I had a last minute move (called them on Friday about a move on the following Monday) and Idan was able to make time for me. Herbert and Saivon then came to my apt and did a great job moving my things. They were professional, courteous, and efficient. I would recommend scanio to anyone looking to move in nyc!”

“What a fantastic staff! Upon their arrival, they wasted no time in getting to work. They painstakingly packed all of my belongings and moved them all without a hitch.”

“Sean & his team are true pros! Timely, professional & attentive to detail. They made our move as smooth as possible. Would definitely hire again in the future, highly recommended!”

“They had to come back the following day since they had left a small lamp in the truck, even though the staff was great. I was grateful that they sent it at no cost and that they offered an apology.”

“Today I had the horrible task of cleaning out my mother’s apartment after sixty years.I had clean co empty out the contacts of her home, he show us and her property with respect They saw how difficult it was they three guys tried to make us laugh. I highly recommend cleanco coralline your moving needs”

“Ted and Direct Movers get the job done, in a courteous and professional manner. Just used them to move my furniture and things to a self-storage unit. They were priced competitively and didn’t waste any time. I will use them again when I find a new place. I highly recommend Direct Movers!”

“Hired this company for a long-distance move. The same crew handled pick-up and delivery, and they called with updates along the way. Everything arrived on time, intact, and exactly where it needed to go. Seamless service for sure!”

“It was clear that the movers knew how to properly handle delicate items because they arrived with certain tools.Despite my initial nervousness, they managed to load and secure the piano in less than fifteen minutes. Amazing!”

“They were so careful that they even packaged picture hooks and other small things. I am giving these experts my highest recommendation due to their thoroughness.”

“Great movers. They were efficient, nice, and professional. From the starting estimate to the closeout of the job, this firm was easy and efficient to work with. The movers themselves also seem like nice guys - not a complaint even though they moved my stuff out of a four-story house where the air conditioning had failed and it was 90-plus degrees out. They still continued to be careful and professional despite these circumstance.”

“Careful and progrssional”

“I highly recommend Collegiate Moving Services. Tom and his team were amazing. Great communication, thorough and courteous throughout. They were quick and efficient and ensured all my belongings were well taken care of. Thank you Team Collegiate!”

“Igor and his team are the best! They just helped us with two last minute moves and got us settled with incredible speed and professionalism. I will be recommending them to everyone I know”

“I was a little concerned with the negative reviews. But took a chance because I can't imagine this being a bad company with all the good reviews. So I went ahead and booked these movers.
They showed up an hour late, but kept in touch with me regarding the delays. But boy, did they make up for it! They ran out all the boxes and miscellaneous items out of my home first. I couldn't believe how fast. Then they wrapped up the furniture and secured one of my dressers which I did leave some clothes in.
With time a little concerning because the unload building has a 5pm cut-off time for moving, these movers were able to load and unload the truck just before the deadline and got everything in with no damages.
I'm very pleased with these movers and they do some quality work. Wil hire again”

“I have had only had great interactions with Morton Lemkau Moving. Don was wonderful on the phone when I called to inquire about a few different types of moves (small and large) and when I met him in person to give us an estimate on our house move. He has been so helpful in giving me suggestions on where and how to donate my furniture that I am not bringing on our next move. I can't tell you how helpful it's been! The two men that arrived to move our outdoor table to our daughter's home last week could not have been friendlier and more helpful. My daughter felt the same way. It is so nice to work with people who have a smile on their face, do their job and truly want to help.”

“Amazing service. Arrived early, worked fast, zero issues. Amazing.”

“These movers are awesome!! From the beginning, they made the booking process seemless. Very easy simple and quick.
The movers were incredibly efficient. They used a combination of stretch-wrap and furniture pads to ensure the sofa was protected from any damage. What truly impressed me, though, was the skillful way they maneuvered the sofa through the front door — it was no easy task. Despite having a fifth-floor walk-up, they handled everything with ease, professionalism, and not a single complaint. Just a team of motivated movers who got my entire apartment relocated without a hitch. I’ll definitely be calling them again for any future moves — whether for myself, family, or friends.”

“Zino Movers were professional, fast, and efficient. They packed and wrapped everything with care. We moved from Connecticut to South Carolina. They disassembled and assembled everything back the way it was. The workers did a great job and treated us like family. Manisha did a great job as well scheduling our move with the company. I strongly recommend this moving company. Shout out to David and Isaac!”

“We had the most incredible experience with Globe. They moved us out of our office and into our new space in less than 10 hours, when we expected it to take two days. They were professional, friendly, and extremely coordinated. Victoria runs an extremely talented company, and was a pleasure to work with throughout the project. John, the project supervisor, was one of the most talented, organized, kind, hardworking people - he even stayed late with us to help with some tasks outside of the original work plan. Could not recommend them enough! Thank you to the whole team!”

“I had a fantastic experience with Advanced Moving Pros. With so many moving companies out there, you never really know what you’re going to get—but these movers exceeded my expectations. They were kind, friendly, and even made me laugh throughout the process. Moving is stressful enough, but they handled everything with such professionalism that I immediately felt I was in good hands.
You can always tell when you’re working with true professionals—no one was standing around or wasting time. Everyone had a role and was focused on getting the job done efficiently. From carefully wrapping the furniture to making sure my TV (which was my biggest concern) was well protected, they treated all my belongings with the utmost care.
Their pricing was very fair and reasonable, especially for the quality of work they delivered. The hourly rate I was quoted was exactly what I was charged—no hidden fees, no last-minute surprises. I’ll definitely be recommending them to others!
Thank you, Advanced Moving Pros, for making my move completely hassle-free.”

“Donovan and his team were amazing, efficient, careful, and practical thinkers. I can't thank them enough for a smooth and stress free move. 5 stars, highly recommended.”

“We moved from the Hudson Valley to Maine. Words can not express how grateful we feel for the extraordinary customer service we received from the very beginning to the very end in what could have been a stressful time, Heirloom Moving as THE BEST!! Finin coming to assess and then Erin with her great communication + flexibility and the guys! What can we say about the guys?!?! From the driver to the entire crew!! The guys went above and beyond. They were efficient, left everything NCO ( neat, clean and organized ) and for the delivery they were also courteous and professional. If k can give 100 stars I would !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🥇🚛”

“So glad we used Rainbow Movers. Our big move (moving to a new apartment and a new office) could have been a difficult and complicated ordeal. Instead, thanks to Rainbow, our move was smooth, easy and affordable. Our great thanks to Larry and his team. You guys were fantastic. Next time we need to move, we know exactly who to call.”

“The driver and assistant were excellent—fast, efficient, and skilled in packing. I rode along with them for several drop-offs around Queens, and the whole experience was smooth and professional. I’m already planning to book them again for my next move in two months. A very happy customer!”

“5 Star Movers LLC made our relocation effortless and worry-free! After spending over a decade in our NY apartment, we had accumulated more belongings than we realized in such a limited space. On moving day, the 5 Star Movers LLC team got right to work—efficiently disassembling and carefully wrapping everything from furniture to delicate artwork and electronics. They were respectful, highly professional, and offered steady guidance through what was a very emotional farewell to the city.
