Moving company reviews in New York

“Incredible customer service and movers. These giys got their business right, a complete focus on ensuring the client is satisfied.”

“Miller's Honest Moving made my recent move incredibly simple and pleasant. Unlike other companies I've used in the past the movers made me feel 0 anxiety when it came to my belongings and their care for them. They took their time and protected every piece of furniture I owned even things that weren't delicate were given the same care as my glass dining room table. The movers were professional but it wasn't just that, they were genuinely kind and friendly, it made a day that's meant to be stressful feel lighthearted which is so invaluable. All of belongings arrived safely and everything was reassembled perfectly. I was so pleased and recommend this moving company to anyone who is looking to feel taken care of on a day when it really matters.”

“I highly recommend Eagle Transfer. They provided excellent professional service moving our office with attention to planning and detail and were easy to work with.”

“Noah’s Ark gave me a realistic quote of moving an upright piano. After comparing other companies, I decided to go with Noah’s Ark. They were fast, efficient and took great care of the piano. I could not be happier. Thank you Jude and everyone for making this a smooth and fast move.”

“Would like to recommend Gotham Moving to everyone they were very attentive to detail and made my move a pleasant experience my movers were Martin and Jeff they’re wonderful and have great customer service.”

“I have moved a few times in my life but I have never met better movers! They were so efficient and so quick. They were so fast and professional and knowledgeable. Office staff wonderful as well. Highly highly recommend.”

“I can’t believe I never used Miller’s Honest Moving before my last move! I’ve been a serial renter for years and this was by far the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I actually came to this company after the big-box mover I had always used suddenly doubled my quote because they were too busy—and I’m so glad I made the switch. Tim, the owner, was a pleasure to work with: flexible, fair, and willing to schedule the exact time and day that worked best for me. On moving day, Sergio and his team were incredible. They treated my furniture with real care, taking pieces apart and individually wrapping everything. The whole process was seamless and stress-free, unlike any move I’ve had before. I’ll definitely be using Miller’s Honest Moving again—and I’ll be requesting Sergio and his crew next time.”

“McAvey is a 5- Star Moving ( and would be a 10 if ratings were listed that high). They are the BEST moving company ever. This courteous Team is professional, knowledgeable with packing all artifacts, and wrapping furniture. Your items will arrive safe & sound. They also prepare & organize you well — walking you through the moving process e.g. how to label boxes and pack. The yea personal helped me with discarding unwanted items into a dumpster. McAvey Moving will meet all your moving needs from beginning to end. Sincerely Michele 8/28”

“Konstantin did an amazing job moving my furniture from California to New York—he was efficient, responsive, and had an excellent attitude the whole time. He made my cross-country move completely stress-free and handled everything with care. I’ve also used Konstantin for a local move in NYC, and he was just as professional and helpful for the smaller job. Whether it’s a big cross-country relocation or a small move within the city, Konstantin can handle it all and makes the process easy. Highly recommended for both local and long-distance moves!”

“Highly recommend! The movers were professional. They arrived on time, carefully wrapped and protected the furnitue. They were efficient and the move went smoothly. They hauled several wood furniture pieces out of an attic, second floor, and main floor, maneuvering tight spots. Then they hauled the furniture up to a second floor apartment. No elevator! I called several places and Gar Hing was the best with price. Now I know why people keep using this company.”

“We used Diamond Moving for a pretty last minute move across town after realizing another company went ahead and invoiced us waaay more than we discussed on the phone. Kim told me a rough estimate and made sure to let me know when there was a cancellation so we could move on our ideal date. The moving crew worked really well together and finished the moving process in a much shorter time than originally quoted and our final bill reflected that. They were great to have around and really made us feel better about choosing them after we had a terrible time during our last move with another company.”

“Bighly professional, best services.”

“i’ve used green line for 3 moves in brooklyn! they’ve always been on time, very considerate of fragile things and efficient with their time”

“After vetting 4 other moving services, I chose Direct Moving & Storage, and so glad I did! The owner, Ted personally came to my apartment where he inventoried my belongings and answered all my questions. I have made several cross-country moves as well as smaller local moves so I have a lot of experience with good and bad movers. I can honestly say that of all the movers I’ve used over the years, NONE can match the excellent experience I had with this company. My move was to upstate NY from Westchester Cty and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Ted, his son Lucas and 2 other team members expertly loaded and unloaded my belongings without any loss or damage. They also picked up and delivered same day, driving 180 miles to my location. The price quoted was well worth the top notch service and peace of mind provided. They were such a pleasure to work with on my move, and I highly recommend!”

“We have used Tony's on three occasions over the years (Philly to Baltimore, back to Philly, then to NYC) and they seem to get better each time! Incredibly efficient, communicative, friendly, and flexible. I certainly hope not to have to move again anytime soon, but we can't imagine using anyone other than Tony's!”

“Don M and his team did a fantastic job moving us out of our home. They were professional, efficient, careful, considerate and good humored. Impressive work as a team. From the initial visit and estimate through completion of the move everything went as promised and planned. I recommend Morton Lemkau highly.”

“I had to clean out my late parents' entire house. Moveco did an amazing job! I cannot express how outstanding their service is. Chris and Bob were so helpful and patient with me. I called Chris a few times before my appointment and he answered all of my questions. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and care in handling such an emotional situation.”

“I needed to move several machines from my shop to Pennsylvania. George and his team arrived on time, packed everything very carefully, and handled the equipment with great attention. These machines are very high-tech and fragile, but the guys managed the move perfectly. I’m really satisfied with their work. From now on, if I ever need to move something, I’ll only use George and his team. Highly recommend to anyone who needs safe and professional transport.”

“I recently moved long distance and Zino Movers did an outstanding job. Isaac was great as were all of the movers. Curtis and his brother were the ones who drove to VA with my stuff and they worked incredibly hard to offload all of my stuff. I would recommend them if you are on the fence.”

“This is the second time I availed their services. Very quick, efficient, precise, friendly and accommodating. Hire Them!”

“Amazing moving company with fair quotes! Nico (owner) and his crew were great. They left things better than they found them by fixing some of our items that ironically, our prior moving company had broken.”

“Fair prices and careful moving”

“Highly recommended moving service! They were punctual, efficient, and took great care in making sure all of my items were moved safely. Luna was super responsive and easy to work with on all things scheduling and obtaining the needed COI(s)- despite a lot of last minute changes on my end, they were very accommodating and gracious.”

“Great guys to work with!”

“This is my second time hiring Strong Island to take care of my move and it couldn’t have gone any better. Alex and his team were so quick and attentive it was such a relief when moving already is so stressful. They will be the only moving company I’ll use in the future!”

“Lorenzo & team were amazing! Handled everything with care and went above and beyond for us!”

“Martin and Jeff thank you for the super professional and fast job of moving our entire 1500sqft household into a 16x8 container. 10/10 stars for Gotham Moving !!!”

“Professional, efficient and friendly movers. Would highly recommend this moving company.”

“Absolutely phenomenal experience. Will definitely hire them again for all of my moving needs. They came highly recommended and exceeded my expectations. Very professional and kind. 10/10 service all around”

“Eagle Transfer is excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone or any business seeking not just shipping and storage but a reliable logistics partner. The team is highly professional and offers a personal touch that is often missing in large corporations.”

“Great company. They moved my mom from NY to CT. They packed and setup her furniture . Our movers were professional and everything arrived on undamaged.”

“I would recommend Qs Moving Inc. to anyone who asks me. They are fast and sufficiently careful in packing and unloading items and putting them in the correct locations. Thank you for all. The Sisters (I did lose a handle of a drawer)”

“Highly recommend Magic Piano Movers. My Steinway was transported from Midtown to Montclair, NJ, and they navigated a narrow staircase like it was nothing. Impressive teamwork.”

“We had Martin, Jeff and Mark as our movers. They were impeccably on time and they worked really hard and fast to get us moved. We were still packing when they arrived and they were very accommodating for that. I will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Had a smooth experience moving my 1BHK. Luna was highly responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the process. The movers were well-organized and handled all our furniture with care. Would recommend!”

“Excellent service and quick move Edward was a great worker moved everything promptly and carefully. If you need something moved call Martin at Marrins' Moving Systems, he will get it done.”

“A previous move with another company was nothing short of a nightmare. Luckily this time we booked with Gotham Moving and every step of the process flowed perfectly. From scheduling to final paperwork, Martin and his team were mindful with our valuables yet efficient and best of all, they all had great attitudes. The service was pricier than anticipated, and I would suggest an itemized breakdown of costs in the future, but all in all we were pleased and it was worth the cost.”

“I can't say enough good things about this company. We moved from Orange County to Ridgefield CT about a week ago. We saw the excellent reviews and enlisted the services of 369 Degees Moving. The process was smooth and professional and the group of guys that conducted the move were simply the best. They were wonderfully efficient experienced and just so darn nice. This was as good a moving experience as one could hope for. Highest recommendation!”

“Konstantly Moving provides exceptional services at competitive rates. Konstantine was able to provide certificate of insurance coverage which are required by Co-op's and Condos and responded quickly to all phone calls and texts. The movers arrived early on the day of the move taking great care to wrap each piece of furniture in protective blankets and movers tape to secure the blankets. They also put protective shrink wrap over the furniture to be moved to a Konstantly storage facility. They completed the move faster than expected which kept the cost within the original estimate even though we needed more packing materials for dishes and glassware than originally estimated. I highly recommend Konstantly Moving for moving, packing and storage needs.”

“We chose Gotham Moving after the movers we had scheduled previously said that they were unable to move our fridge. We are so happy to have found Gotham Moving!!! They did and incredible job and were careful with all of our items. They also moved as fast as possible and I was super impressed. We had Edward, Mark, and Jeff for our move and they were incredible. Could not recommend them more!”

“These guys helped me with both move-out and move-in using a U-Haul UBox, and they did an excellent job from start to finish. They were patient and flexible when I ran into a last-minute packing issue, and throughout the process they were kind, friendly, and hardworking. They handled all of my belongings with great care and managed the loading and unloading smoothly—even on the tight streets of Brooklyn. Regarding the 1-star reviews: this is a smaller operation, so I wouldn’t recommend them for large-scale moves involving multiple boxes or if you need extensive communication and coordination in advance. But for a single UBox or smaller moves, they offer excellent value and reliable service.”

“I highly recommend Konstantly Moving NYC! They helped me move from Manhattan to Brooklyn and they were absolutely fantastic. Konstantin and his crew were super fast, reliable, professional, and incredibly efficient. They made what could have been a stressful day feel smooth and easy. I will definitely be using them again for future moves!”

“Super efficient! They moved my upright Yamaha from the 2nd floor to my new place down the block in Astoria. It was a short move but still handled with total care.”

“I received a response super quickly and accommodating. I needed large furniture brought down to one floor Vance and the two gentlemen were very professional and got the job done fast and efficiently. Very chill vibes. Thanks guys!”

“Morris Moving & Storage is simple the BEST OF THE BEST! From start to finish, the team was professional, helpful, and managed EVERYTHING FLAWLESSLY! Jacob's team ROCKS! I was truly amazed ... PURE MAGIC! Thank you Jacob and team ... you are my heroes!!! *_*”

“I highly recommend Morris Moving and Storage to anyone looking for a meticulous, stress-free, pleasant and professional moving experience. “Advanced Moving Pros demonstrated exceptional patience and professionalism throughout the scheduling process, accommodating multiple cancellations prior to the finalized move. Their team maintained a respectful demeanor and efficiently completed multiple trips within the allocated timeframe. They were also flexible, readily adapting to pickups from various locations, including a challenging site in the Connecticut hills. We appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction and would recommend their services for future needs. Thanks guys!”

“Mel and team were superb! On time. Efficient. Professional. I'd use them again and will def be recommending to anyone in need of a moving company 🤝”

“The best prices and selections in the city! Highly recommend!”

“Had to move a Kawai upright from Staten Island to my brother’s place in Yonkers. The crew wrapped everything nicely, loaded up, and kept me updated during transport. 10/10 service.”

“I was moving from Long Island to Jersey City and hired Art Ship and Storage. Honestly, I thought it would be a stressful day — but these guys made it easy. They arrived on time, packed everything carefully, and handled my stuff with real care. I actually felt bad watching them carry heavy boxes up a narrow staircase — but they just smiled and got it done. Respect! Smooth move, no damage, no drama. Highly recommend.”
