“Military move was setup. Stewart moving team came out and packed a 4 bed 2 bath with basement and 2 car garage in one day. Nothing was broken and everything is ready to go on a truck. They showed up at the time they said and introduced them selves. Finished walk around and they got started. Would recommend and use again.”

“I was going thru it when I had to move out of my apartment. Life’s lessons were hard. I picked Mikes only because they hauled and stored and it was easy. I had to work the day they moved me so they were working all day packing a huge disaster of a job. I had given most of my furniture away and still had… stuff. Kitchen stuff. Paintings and art work. Decorations. Crystal that I inherited. Beach stuff. I also had furniture that needed to be tossed. I also had furniture that I was taking to my new place. And my friend with whom I Was going to live, had furniture that she needed to be taken to the dump. They spent the entire day packing and moving us. They even dismantled My queen bed and then put it back together at my new house. Fast-forward to May 15, when I had them move me out of the place where I was living (and accumulating things including new furniture) and bring all my stuff out of storage that they stored for me. They moved me into my new home. I’m one of those people who unpacked immediately and I can tell you not a thing was broken, damaged or missing. When I moved out of my first apartment, everything was everywhere. When I moved into my new place last week, all the boxes were labeled by what was in them and what rooms they were packed in. They are thorough to say the least. That, and the guys Mike hires are personable and friendly. If I move again, they are who I will call. And I tell everybody I know who is looking for a Mover we really should try Mike’s.”

“Able, Richard, and Anthony were all incredible. Arrived in the time window they said they would, called 40 minutes ahead of time, and moved exactly what we needed. China cabinet, table and chairs, dryer, refrigerator, two pianos, dressers from upstairs on both sides of the move, took apart the bed and put it back together, and other large furniture items. These guys were fast, efficient, and all of our stuff got to the other side unharmed. They wrapped the chests and bookshelves in furniture pads, and were just extremely nice. And when we decided last minute not to take a couple items, and last minute to add a few items, it was no problem. Thank you so much! Would use again, and recommend.”

He provided me a price over the phone, I agreed to it, I paid him. I should have negotiated price better, no question. That’s on me. What he moved was not much, the price was very high. “SCAMMERS AND LIARS! They showed up 3 hours late.They will damage your furniture and act like they didnt and offer Zero compensation or even an apology. They broker your job over to day laborers who have no experience and show up in filthy and greasy unmarked rented U-Haul trucks with men who look like they were partying all night before. Shields Candido (the owner) is rude and inconsiderate and his operation is super sketchy. They have zero problem solving skills and cant even use common tools correctly. They show up unprepared without items like screwdrivers, moving blankets, and furniture wrapping. This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with and I hope nobody else has to experience what I did. You have been warned! With all the other moving companies out here, you will be sorry to use this company.”

“If you are considering Shields Movers and Staffers LLC, understand that this company canceled on me the morning of my move, showed up unprepared, damaged my furniture, and has not followed through on resolving the damage. One week before the move, I provided detailed descriptions and photos of every item. The night before the move — at 10:00 PM — I received a call “verifying” information they already had. During that same call, they attempted to change my confirmed 9:00 AM move to 11:00 PM. Changing a scheduled move to nearly midnight the night before demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism and planning. The morning of the move, they again requested the same photos. I specifically confirmed they would provide moving materials, including couch protection and two TV boxes. I was clearly assured all necessary supplies would be provided. Shortly after sending the photos again, I received a text stating I had “too much and it was too early for them to deal with us.” At that point, I requested a refund. Only then did someone identifying themselves as a worker call and say they would “try their hardest” to complete the move that day. I had dock access at my Arlington, VA high-rise only until 1:00 PM — something they were aware of in advance. When the movers arrived, they showed up in an unbranded U-Haul truck with no company identification. Once inside my apartment, they said they were told not to move my two TVs because they were “not in the quote.” They also arrived without couch covers, shrink wrap, or TV boxes — despite previously confirming they would provide all materials. I had to leave mid-move and spend $80 of my own money at Public Storage to purchase the supplies they promised to bring. After finally wrapping my couch, the movers struggled to remove it and ripped the upholstery, causing visible damage. They contacted the owner, Candido Shields, to inform him. He did not reach out to apologize or explain next steps. When I contacted him directly, he said he would “take care of it,” and then stopped responding to calls and texts. The outcome: • Last-minute schedule changes • Repeated requests for information already provided • Broken promises regarding supplies • Out-of-pocket expenses • Damaged furniture • No follow-through on resolution I have documentation of all communications, photos provided in advance, the supply purchase receipt, and photos of the damage. I am still willing to resolve this matter professionally if the company chooses to respond and honor its responsibility. At this point, I am simply asking for accountability and appropriate compensation for the damage caused.”

The crew showed up on time and worked hard and carefully to protect my belongings. When the move was done they cleaned up and presented me with a bill below my original estimate. They packed up items that I had forgotten to pack and they moved large items without hitting my walls. The weather conditions were tough and there was still lots of snow on the ground.but they still finished in a time under their estimate. I highly recommend using them when looking for a mover.”
