“Movers moved quickly and treated my items with care. However, I do recommend more thorough onboarding of new customers and what to expect on days leading up to and day of service so that everything is clear for the customer. Moving is a lot and you are constantly reading and signing things, so it is easy to overlook, forget, or misunderstand things you’ve read. Actual conversations are better. I had to reach out to clarify a few things, it would have been nice for someone to have given me a call even with the process being fully online/via text. All in all, the service was smooth and I am pleased!”

“We have used Thompson Moving for both an out-of-state move and a local move. We just booked them for the third time because we have been so pleased. The movers were on time, polite, professional, and speedy. They took great care of our items and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, which we have when asked. This past spring we called to see if we could secure movers for an out of state move not expecting for anyone to be available last minute. “Scheduled my 3 location move a month in advance, communication was fair but slow. I emailed and confirmed all 3 locations that i needed moved into 1 storage. Quote was good and I made sure the truck size. Moved today and the 2 guys Ahmad and his friend came. Scheduled for 9am, they arrived at 9:14. Arrived with a small truck. I immediately told them i have 3 locations with 2 being already filled with stuff to move. Get inside my home and they don’t have storage pads or packaging for my tv or long mirror. I also asked did they have the tools to take my bed apart… no, I’m so confused on why this wasn’t apart of your job! They presented with confusion as if this was their first time. They started working on moving, then came to my furniture. My couch needed to be unscrewed at the bottom. I said I’d recommend yall to go across the street to Walmart to get a screwdriver like come on! After tugging at my door (as i watched) then went to Walmart to get the screwdriver. I also looked at the storage truck and asked how is the 2nd location going to fit in this truck ? Ahmed stated that they would need to drop the first load at my new storage then go back to the old storage then back to the new storage! A whole back and forth situation that i damn sure didn’t have time for! Long story that’s long, imma make short, won’t recommend ! Won’t book again! Thanks”

“DO NOT USE….HORRIBLE AND SKETCHY SERVICE. Punctuality - 0/10 Communication- 0/10 Overall Experience- worst ever. Explanation of Answers: Moving time comes (9AM)….no driver and no updates….2-3hours later another driver is supposed to be coming(1:30PM)…nothing…. 2:30pm, a driver from Philadelphia is now coming….3 hours (5:30PM) we finally admit defeat and figure our whole day has now been wasted and ruined by this company and their services. Would love to give 0 stars. Owner does not provide good customer service nor answers phone calls, only seems to answer via google reviews. Would not recommend to anyone. If you are looking for a mover LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. He said we'd receive a refund for our deposit the following Wednesday and that was nearly 3 weeks ago. I’ll wait for the comment from the owner to explain himself out of this one. I would like to see where this "refund" went because I have seen no such thing and gotten no response in 10 days.”

“In a word - AMAZING! However I can't stop there. Having made 14 moves thanks the military times and once more after, Really Moving exceeded our expectations in everything. They went above and beyond in packing carefully, taking care of our home to not ding, scratch, etc. any interior spaces, and had every piece of moving equipment imaginable. Something I really liked was how the team took care of one another to ensure no one was lifting too much by themselves. When the team showed up to load, they were quick but still very careful. They sent a crew and 2 trucks to move our 3 bedroom house and completed the entire job in about half the time we expected. The crew was meticulous and careful. They didn’t damage our items or either of the houses they were moving us to/from. They also did some great problem solving to get heavy and large furniture into tight hallway spaces. “These are great guys. They work hard and are very respectful of your items. It's always a good sign when the owner shows up personally to help out. My move was delayed a day because I was confused on when to make a deposit, so be aware that you do have to pay a deposit within 7 days or you don't get on the schedule. But we fixed that and they came out the next day. I strongly recommend this team.”

“I called multiple companies for a quote to move the hot tub from my home in Evergreen to my daughter's home in Strasburg. From the moment I sent a quote request to Spa Movers, I received a timely response with a fair quote. A time/day was scheduled for removal. 3 men (Juan, Jose & "sorry I missed his name") from the company arrived right on time. They were very professional and were able to make a fairly difficult removal look easy. They were very careful with my property and left it as it was when they arrived (minus the tub!) They reached my daughter's home in a timely fashion, and the set up there went without a hitch! I will use Spa Movers any time I have a tub that needs taken care of!”

“Moving went as smooth as possible on a very hot day. Movers arrived on time and were friendly, respectful, and attentive. Bed, mattress, boxspring, dresser, end tables, oversized sofa, desk, bookshelf, doormats, and bins were moved and placed as requested. Robert the owner was present the entire time from townhome to townhome and helped disassemble and assemble the bed as well mirror as well as helped to put the drawers of the dresser back in. I am thankful that all were able to help me move considering both homes required moving furniture two flights of stairs.”

“Easy to contact, easy to schedule, good price. Move scheduled at 2:30pm and confirmed no other jobs that day. Day of the job, movers say they now have another job 45min away at 2:00pm. Do the math. Didn't arrive until 5:40pm, which wasn't too bad since I was also late myself, but keep in mind Shields didn't have a problem double-booking. The movers were kind, cool, very hard workers, and fast, but rough around the edges: multiple cigarette breaks while handling upholstered furniture and mattresses with no gloves, sometimes running furniture into edges and ceilings, and responded with: "What is this, we haven't even started yet" when I tipped them $40 each for their help as soon as they arrived, even being 3 hours late. We got along great, joked, worked hard, and I helped them the entire 3 hours. Got a text from Shields just as we are finishing up to pay the balance of the job now. Movers weren't allowed to leave until I paid the balance apparently. We're dripping in sweat, idling in a box truck close to 9pm, while I fumble my phone to pay the balance so we could all 3 go back home to our wives and kids. No mention of the double booking, late arrival, or discretion to pay the balance at a more convenient time.”

“Anvar and his crew were truly professional in every sense of the word! They were very efficient and extremely careful with all of our items from start to finish. My wife had chosen Best American Movers based on how communicative they were, from the first time she called them and spoke to Arlene, who went through every room with my wife so throughly and working through the coordination efforts with Pauline has made what I expected (usually) a stressful experience, so streamlined and easy for us to manage as we sold and bought our new home. I have heard so many horror stories and working with Best American Movers is the exact opposite! They far exceeded our expectations in every way and we know we have one less major thing to worry about - as we move from PA to AL. I can not say enough positive things about the team at Best American Movers and if we ever have to move again, we would not hesitate for a second using them again! Don’t mind the negative reviews - it’s ultimately up to the client to provide an accurate assessment of how many cubic feet they need for the price quote. We ended up leaving shelves for the new owners of our house, since as much stuff as we sold and threw out, you accumulate a lot over the years! Don’t let a bad review persuade you to go with other moving companies, that will not treat you with respect and provide the white glove service we received.
