Moving company reviews in New York

“Our original shipper took our stuff, then disappeared off the face of the earth. After much insurance and detective work, it was located in a warehouse. Tony from Avant-Garde took over and it was smooth sailing! Got all our boxes and furniture without any problems, no extra fees, all there and accounted for. Wish we had used them from Day One!”

“Irfan and Jose were great. Showed up on time, were very careful in moving stuff, and completed the entire move very quickly. Would definitely hire them again.”

“I had a great experience with Avant-Garde Moving & Storage in NYC. Tow guys: Irfan and Jose arrived right on time and were professional from start to finish. They worked incredibly hard, even in the hot weather, while handling all of our belongings with great care. They were efficient, organized, and made the entire move go smoothly. Everything was packed, loaded, and unloaded carefully, and they left everything clean and well organized at the end of the job. I also want to thank the manager, Tony, who provided a very reasonable price with no surprises. The entire team was honest, reliable, hardworking, and respectful of our belongings. I highly recommend Avant-Garde Moving & Storage, especially Irfan, Jose, and Tony. They made what could have been a stressful move a smooth and positive experience.”

“Worry free moving at its finest! Rudy and his crew Jaseph, Stefan, Marvin, Anthony, Chace, Han and Yariel were personable, thoughtful, and treated every single item of ours as if it were precious cargo. Above all else, they genuinely seemed to enjoy the work and working with each other. Their good cheer was infectious, and they completed our move in record time. On move in, they didn’t just ensure items made it in the house safely, they paid attention to the little things like ensuring the rugs were straight, wrinkle free, and had the anti-skid pad in exactly the right place. Superlatives fail in the face of how wonderful they were. Book them! They are the best!”

“Professionals”

“As everyone knows moving and relocating is stressful. I’m glad I came across Destiny moving. They were able to give me the best price compared to other movers in the city. The workers were friendly and helped us in disassemble and assemble all our furniture. The best part about them is that they took extra precautions in packing fragile items. Definitely professional work done ✅”

“We have been using Sven's for years now, I think the first time was in 2016?! Anyways, so glad to have chosen them for our latest move. Zach, Dane, and Brian showed up more than on time, lifted their butts off carrying a million of our things including huge heavy stuff down from out 3rd floor walk-up, disassembled our complicated bed and reassembled when they got to the new place, and did that all while being kind and chill. Highly recommend this team, and every team we've worked with at Sven's! Always more affordable, more careful, and more friendly than their competition.”

“It was one of the easiest moving experiences I've ever gone through. The team was well-equipped, efficient and managed well throughout. They labeled things, took care of the furniture, and wondered where it would go in the new apartment. I certainly felt that they were interested in doing it properly.”

“Best quote of the any nyc movers, plus a crew of 4 people, plus furniture disassembly assembly included, plus gay…no reason not to go with Trans Movers!!!! 😍😍 thank y’all so much!!! In all seriousness, Vic, James, Joe and Matan were super professional and efficient. Took care to wrap furniture and valuables, somehow navigated an 8 ft tall wardrobe and a 6 foot wide dresser through 2 narrow staircases, and overall helped us pack our last miscellaneous items lying around. Took around 4 hours in total, really couldn’t have asked for more. Def book them if you are stressed about your move!”

“IPS was fantastic with my recent move. The process was done in under three hours and all of my items were handled with such care. Communication was really easy throughout the preparation process. I have used them twice now, this past June and five years ago, and both times, I couldn't be more satisfied with the service.”

“All I can say is that the team was excellent. They came early. They were efficient, quick and professional. I would recommend them without reservation and I'm just so grateful from The beginning when I contacted gym Fitness about the issue and all along the way I was reassured And well taken care of. Thank you so much for an excellent excellent service. It was worth every penny and I can't tell you how Grateful I am to have my elliptical now in my new apartment. Bravo.”

“I am so impressed with the outstanding service provided by Carlos, Mike, Jonathan and Brian during the assembly of my new exercise bike in our home! First, thank you to Anthony - my first point of contact who responded immediately to my online request for an appointment and communicated with me from start to finish to ensure that all went well! Carlos and Team arrived on time and did an impeccable job of putting my bike together. They are experts in their field and took a lot less time than I had expected because they knew exactly what they were doing every step of the way. They are true professionals and I am so grateful to all of them!”

The team was professional, efficient, careful with all of our furniture and belongings, and made the entire moving process so seamless. “Movers did a great job moving a heavy treadmill down 2 levels in my house. Price was reasonable, ( especially for work done on a Sunday, and Anyhony and his team of installers were great !”

“The guys were on time at both ends. They were polite, fast and located the delivery end furniture to my requested rooms. They setup the beds and mirrors where possible.”

“Andre and his crew were on time, very professional, and made the move very pleasant for me! Thanks guys !!! Be blessed, In Jesus' Name, Amen🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼”

“Ron and his team helped us with our recent move, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We especially appreciated that they came out beforehand to do a walkthrough and provide an in-person estimate. Everything was straightforward and transparent, with no surprises on moving day, and the final price was in line with the estimate. The crew actually arrived a little early, and the move went smoothly and efficiently. We even finished a bit under the estimated time. Everyone was professional, courteous, and handled our belongings with great care. Nothing was damaged, and they even transported our houseplants, which we know not every moving company is willing to do. They also placed everything exactly where we wanted it in our new apartment. As an added bonus, they hauled away our old air conditioning units that we no longer needed, which saved us the hassle of disposing of them ourselves. Overall, the entire process was organized and stress-free. We would absolutely hire Ron and his team again and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, professional movers.”

“Big shout out to Kevin, Obi, and Henry for their incredible help this past week. Even though my move was only a few blocks away, I had accumulated 10 years’ worth of belongings—including a Peloton bike, massive sectional couch, outdoor furniture, a grill, entertainment console, boxes of camera equipment, your standard list of apartment necessities and a ton of extra stuff from my building's storage unit. The entire process went so smoothly and took even less time than I had anticipated. We hit a little hurdle at the new apartment with building maintenance, but the guys were quick with a plan and we improvised perfectly to make the load-out happen. They were professional, efficient, and great problem-solvers. I highly recommend Sven.”

“I’ve used Gentle Giant for three moves now and they’ve been amazing every time! Their whole team, from booking to moving, is extremely professional. The movers are always so kind and helpful. Will use them again!”

“Diego, Cristian, Joseph, and Freddy were the best movers. So nice and so helpful. They had to move everything into a 5 floor walk up during an insane thunderstorm. They completed it in under 3 1/2 hours. 10/10 experience!!!! John from day 1 was so great and has the best personality. We can’t thank them enough!!!!”

“Geemel and his team did an amazing job. We hired their company to clean out a family members house that was full to the brim. They did an amazing job. The entire team was friendly and empathetic to the situation. They were helpful from the start and as I was doing other projects around the house they were always happy to help get more out to the dumpster. Everyone said hello and goodbye every day they were at the site. When the job was over the owner came over to do a walk through and actually cleaned up a couple small areas that were acceptable to me, but not to him. I HIGHLY recommend using this company for any clean up you need!!”

“I had an excellent experience with Team Nuno! on 7/16/26. The movers were on time, and worked tediously to execute my long distance move to my utmost satisfaction. They reached out with updates and progress and that was greatly appreciated! Avant-Garde is a trustworthy company; this is my third time using them which speaks volumes!! Dorne”

“This company was great! Very professional, courteous, communicative, flexible and did a terrific job with my move, especially under some trying weather (and building) conditions. I asked for a flat rate and that rate was respected and applied. The team was responsive to my needs all throughout the experience, and clearly took pride in their work. I was completely satisfied and recommend WM movers with no reservations.”

“OCL Moving made our move seamless! Omar came out to give us a very fair assessment and quote, and his team absolutely delivered. They were professional, punctual, fast, and took direction incredibly well. We would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks, OCL! #MoveFromRegoParktoRegoPark”

“I booked Iron Men Moving LLC for our move on July 5th, and they did an incredible job. We have a massive amount of belongings, and their team of three movers worked tirelessly for 12.5 hours straight to get the job done. Throughout the entire long day, they remained extremely professional, careful, and hardworking. They wrapped all of our furniture securely in blankets and plastic wrap, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. The final cost was around $2,700, and because they did such an outstanding job, I gladly gave them a well-deserved tip. If you want a moving company that is reliable, meticulous, and dedicated, I highly recommend Iron Men Moving LLC!”
